Any one else planning on heading to the stores pre opening to get the Mattel figures? I would love to meet other WFers while waiting for the doors to open!

I will be out early at my TRU I don't drink so I have nothing to worry about on new years eve!

I have to make a choice between drinking on NYE or buying figures the next day. I'll probably stay in, then go looking for the figures in the morning to find that the UK stores won't have them until the end of the month.

I'll probably be outside my TRU in the morning 15-20 minutes early. I better not walk in and see empty pegs. lol
But yeah... while we're all here, what do you guys plan on buying? I will get..
- HBK/Jericho and Legacy packs
- Basic 1 Kofi and Cena
- Elite 1 entire set
- And I'll go with the flow and see what else they have there; like the belts, rings, etc.

To be honest, I'm probably not going to be there right when the doors of my local TRU open because I just can't see many people in my area waiting outside for these figures in my area. I can see the TRU in Times Square (NY) having a line, maybe some major markets like Boston and Los Angelas, but not where I am.
I'll head out around noon and seek them out, if I have trouble finding one then I will hunt it down until I have it, there are multiple stores in my area that will carry them so chances are good that I will complete the Basic line right away.

It all depends on the Weather. I think i will hit up Target & Walmart first since they open early and then head over to TRU. But i really just want a Austin figure Best of luck to everyone with trying to find there figures friday morning

Thats not true for all TRU's, I have asked a clerk at my local TRU what time they planned on opening on the 1st and they said they would be open 10-7, so the store closest to you must have a different set of hours. You know, the more and more I think about it I think I will try to make it out for when the doors open, it would be nice to be a part of a huge new action figure release like this, the last time I did anything like this was for the Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End figure line back in 2007. Excitement is running high! |

I don't drink and I'm done with partying, so, after a semi-quiet night with the lady, I plan on getting up, hitting Wal-Mart right away as they're open earlier I believe, then Target(if they're open before TRU), then I'll be waiting at TRU's doors before 10AM. Then, off to work for the day to pay off the immensively large bill Mattel will cause me. Not really as I think I'll only end up spending about $70

I'll be going around when they open, but I don't plan on waiting at the doors haha. My mom usually goes out on Friday mornings, so maybe I can catch a ride with her. If I find them, I'll find them. If not, I can wait.

im thinking stores will likely be fully stocked with the new figures and will have plenty to go around,now getting the 1/1000's is a whole other story lol.
