So, I went to Wal-Mart a couple days ago and picked up complete sets of the 2-packs and Elites. Went back late last night, and to my surpise, they still had product. They had one belt, ALL the talking wrist crap, and 3 (yes, 3) Edge Elites.
Guess we know who's gonna be warming pegs, don't we? ;D

Well not everyone had started looking, So maybe Edge won't last much longer. Or it could be his scan that turns people off from buying it.

Well not everyone had started looking That logic would only work if no others had sold either. Seems like people happening upon them at that store don't really want the Edge. Personally, Edge is in my top two (along with basic Kofi) but I can't find them anywhere yet.

I wish. I've been going to stores almost everyday and I have not found a single Mattel WWE product.
I think perhaps the stores around me are abiding by the January 1, 2010 release date and that you guys who are finding them are just getting lucky by the stores just putting them out because they either don't know they aren't supposed to be out until January 1, 2010 or they just don't care.
Hopefully after the 1st of the year Mattel will start to pop up in my area because I have had no luck at any of my stores. Not even empty pegs marked.

The only thing I can think, is the scan. He looks f-ed up! That's about the only scan so far I really don't care for.

I see any Flex Force figure being a total shelfwarmer

I hit 3 Targets a walMart and TRU today and only 2 of the Targets had Mattel figures on the pegs and all that was left at both stores were 2 Heritage Edge figures each.

Edge is the only one left on the pegs because todays WWE fans (and kids in generally these days) have the collective attention span of a gnat.
Edge is off TV, therefore Edge doesn't exist.
Just a few months ago a Jeff Hardy figure would last about 2 minutes and 37 seconds on the shelf before getting snapped up. 2 weeks after he was gone from WWE and Jeff Hardy figures were sitting for days at my local TRU.
And I highly doubt the suspect headsculpt of the Mattel Edge figures have anything to do with it. There have been far worse sculpts on figures that flew off shelves...

Yeah its like other people have said its b/c he isn't on TV. Normal kids going shopping with their mom and dad get all the people they see every week. That is another reason people are having hard times finding them all the little kids are off from school this week.

I seriously doubt your average consumer is going to Walmart and saying "Whoa, check out the headscan on this Edge! No WAY am I buying this for my nine year old!".

When I went to a store by me yesterday, a few of the mattel heritage Randy Orton and Stone Cold figures were "shelf warmers" more than any other figures there. The kids that go there are more enthused with "BAKUGANS!" though, so that could be another reason.

And I will go out on a limb and say kids are not the ones buying Stone Cold. It is the collectors. I mean my take on this may be very off, but it makes a lot more sense that Edge would be pegwarming (which the figure probably won't anyway) because Edge isn't on TV as opposed to Edge pegwarming because 53 people on message board think the "scan" sucks.
