At Target releasing pretty much every figure in good amounts. Walmart and TRU had some too.
They are prob ticked that alot of us members who usually buy from them cause they get things earlier cept for this time.
I couldnt pass on the ones I got from target , saved me shipping costs.

Eh, there is probably some truth to your statement, but I'm sure Ringside will still get plenty of orders due to their reliability and having promoted the January 1 date for a few months now.
Not everyone has been able to track down Mattel figures, and I would expect many people to save the gas money and just go with Ringside for the time being.

I think they will do well, everything was back ordered a month ago What? Nothing is ACTUALLY back-ordered. RSC hasn't done even a single pre-order for these figures, and doesn't plan to take any orders until January 1st. Legally, they aren't allowed to do so until then. They're back-ordered because they can't be sold yet, not because they're pre-sold-out.

I think they will do well, everything was back ordered a month ago Got to love MODs that don't know what's actually going on. I will say this. For the handful of people like myself that have gone out and found some Mattel figures, there are still THOUSANDS of members of just this site that haven't found any, and are probably waiting until 1/1/10 to purchase. RSC might be upset, but I doubt they will have any issues business wise.

I just have $15-20 invested in gas and at least 2 hours plus invested in time in hunting for Mattel. All I got is a Basic Series 1 Evan Bourne. RSC still remains the best option. Unless you enjoy the hunt or know that Mattel has arrived, its a big waste and it ends up costing you more in the end.

I am sure they are mad but too bad I guess.
Why would someone pass on the chance to get them early especially if they saw a 1/1000?!

I'll still be buying the figures that I want doubles of along with the figures I really want at midnight from RSC. Plus I'll be preordering a few future releases. Then I'll try and find them and the rest on the Friday locally.

I have invested more time then I should trying to track the early release of these figures and all I have are Entrance Greats Triple H and Rey and Flexforce HBK. I however will not pay RSC jacked up prices that! 15.99 for a 9.99 figure then tack on shipping thats 20+ a figure. No thanks! I won't pay that to upgrade figures I already have. I will go hunting on the first if I don't find anything then I don't. This Mattel thing has been more annoying then anything for me. It doesnt work out to be $5 in shipping per figure. If you are ordering 1 figure, it might not be the smartest move. But if you are ordering several it will save you tons of time and gas. My area is empty. 1/1.....I doubt it going to change anything.

All I've seen in my area so far is a few Flex Force figures and ring at Target. Nothing anywhere else, so it's not like the shelves are flooded and Ringside is left high and dry. They'll be just fine.

RSC are in bed with Mattel and wouldn't dare break street date for these figs. Just as Jakks has on their website, they recommend RSC for people looking to buy certain figures, I'm sure Mattel will do the same. As for losing customers, I'd like to think they will, but they deserve to when they charge about 25-100% more than retail. They need to keep things in perspective and if they start losing business, then they will have to repsond with lower prices, that's just how business works, and earn back our business.
