I found only 2 Elite figures from Target today (I went to 6 of them- I know, I'm crazy) and they only had Edge and CM Punk- probably my two favorites from the series. Anyway, I plan to pick up the rest of the series, but when I opened the figures, first off, the coat really is a bitch to take off. It was a little easier to bend Edge forward, but keep his arm straight at the same time to slip off the coat. So, after being pleased with the detail on Edge, I examined CM Punk closely. I noticed that his feet were actually on backwards! Here it is, series 1, and Mattel are already passing things through quality control. I know that the feet are not a big deal, and most people would have overlooked this, but come on guys! Everything else about the figure in superb, but I am baffled at this figure. Here are pictures of my updated Mattel collection, as well as my "variant/error/ ed up" CM Punk. (I know it's not that bad, but still). Also, I got the purple Jericho from Wal Mart, so they are not exclusive to Target. Edge's scan really isn't bad. I think it is wayyyy better in person and is better than Jakks' smirking scan. Entrance Great Rey Mysterio I bought at Wal Mart. This is top-of-the-notch detail. CM Punk's feet are in the middle, and Edge's are on the outside. CM Punk's right foot on the left, and Edge's left foot on the right. Punk on the right, Edge on the left See how they are backwards? Variant Jericho

Do the elite figure play like the toybiz tna figures?

They are not as tight as the the TNA figures. They are very pleasant and you can just feel the quality. They are great, and I cannot be more satisfied. I would highly recommend the Elite series based off of these 2 figures. I look forward to collecting the Elite line entirely.

I'm sure Punk will be the easiest to find once they are officially released, so even if you do find a defective one, there will probably be plenty of replacements. I'm sure mine is the exception, but just be on the lookout to make sure your figures are not messed up.

thanks and congrats on the finds. Hows the playability with the basics? Better than RA's?

thanks and congrats on the finds. Hows the playability with the basics? Better than RA's? Yes. The Basics have definite better playability. All of their legs go up all the way (sitting with legs extending out), unlike many RA molds like jeans, superheavyweight torsos, etc. only have legs move out a bit. The arms are better because they are more realistically shaped and can move better and smoother, but they are not loose, just smoother (it's hard to explain). If you're on the fence about them, get some and see for yourself. You won't be dissapointed.

That's a shame man, I honestly wouldn't of noticed it but I don't really look into the figures too much. Few questions with the elites though: How high can the leg go upwards? (Like with DA's the legs can go up till they are in line with the hip.) Are the arm's more move-able? (Also if you could post pictures with the arms fully flexed inwards and out wards that'd be great.) How tight / stiff are the joints and do they seem although they'd easily go loose? One more question, can you post a picture with one of them in a completely crouched position? (Like this during the mid air part: ) Thanks in advance dude .

That is random and kinda sucks for you.
I hope it doesn't happen too often!

Also, the vid doesn't work btw, it says the URL isn't correct.

I have the same Elite Punk and my knee joints are stiff but not to stiff. I wonder if this due to his knee pads. Do you have the same problem? Oh and also did you notice the detail on Punks upper right arm? I don't remember Punk ever having a slice of pizza and a cupcake as tattoos.

Thanks a lot for the detailed pics. I have to say I'm really impressed with Mattel so far and I'm looking forward to the figures hitting the UK

LoL that's funny about Punk's cupcake tattoo but odd. I wonder why Mattel did that.
