Aw man, this is terrible news. I too saw his recent picture and even though he didn't look good, he was still smiling and looked to be in good spirits. He was a true legend of wrestling and will be greatly missed.

09 couldnt finish off without one more could it.. rip No, I guess it couldn't. And another thing, it was yet another relatively young wrestler to pass away. He was only 49 years old. Yet another wrestler that couldn't make it to 50...

Very sad news, especially considering how recent it was that we learned he was still fighting.
Almost as unfortunate as the hand he was dealt during his WWF tenure. He should have been a mega heel for the company, and the quality of his ring work would have been a great improvement to the Attitude era.
A true loss for the wrestling industry despite whatever condition he may have been in towards the end, that's for sure.

Poor bastard. The grim reaper of wrestling couldn't let the year end without taking another true legend from us. At least he no longer is suffering. My heart goes out to Steve's family and friends.

I loved Dr Death. Him and Gordy are one of my favorite tag teams ever. I'm so sad to hear this news. It's sad watching your hero's get old and especially sick. God Bless you Steve.
