Not your traditional retail store. But, just picked up AEW Series 2 (minus Dustin) at Wrestling Universe in Commack. $ 50 each. Bit of a splurge. But, I had some Christmas funds left over. So I spoiled myself. Jack said they have been impossible to find and even at $ 50, he was only making a $ 5 profit per figure. He seemed to have two sets left after my purchase, unless he was hiding more in the backroom. I was in there yesterday and he mentioned he pays $35 per aew figure if I find any in the wild and that he had 24 figures coming from someone later.

Come on man -- $50 is 150% of the retail cost. That's a pure scalp -- not even a fair mark-up.

Those stores are awful and those people should be ashamed -- of course, people screw over others in different industries, but still wrong. As you said -- this beyond a 'second hand store' mark-up. It's pure exploitation.

This is one of the reasons why it's so impossible to find figures in NYC. Not only are there scalpers but people buy to sell at Wrestling Universe.

Jack is a nice guy but his prices are insane. You need to haggle if you buy anything there and that’s the reason I just don’t purchase anything. eBay is cheaper.

Just looked around EBay and $ 50 per figure for AEW Series 2 seems like the going rate, factoring in shipping and tax.
Outside of that one guy on here, saying he found Omega and Young Bucks in Western Nassau, there have been no trace of them in Walmarts locally. I wanted the set. Only Dustin is currently listed on Ringside and he's on back order.
You got to do, what you got to do sometimes. I never claimed it was a good deal.

Not awful. Just not worth buying newer figures that you can still find in retail. For example, he has most of Elite Series 82 priced at $ 30 to $ 40 each. I could buy them from Ringside right now for $ 20 to $ 25 with free shipping with a order total of over $ 50. For older stuff, these stores can be good. But, you're rarely going to get a good deal. The Commack store is around the corner from my apartment. Very convenient.

The first time AEW hit stores all I was able to find was a smashed box Jericho at Westbury. Beginning of December I found the Bucks and Omega at Valley Stream. Cody I purchased from Walmart.com for 28.80 (makes no sense that they would sell them for that much over retail) Once I received him i immediately did a return and repurchase in store for the correct price. Because of how of difficult and the fact that I only saw them twice in store I ended up pre-ordering wave 2 & 3 off of rignside for $155 & $160 respectively.

Although I do buy from EBay from time to time, I hate the idea of prepaying. I like figure in hand. Even if it means paying a little extra.
I don't mind Ringside. Because the prices are fair and they ship quickly.
To each, their own.

I messed up and didn’t get the first wave off of ringside and purchased Cody and Jericho off eBay for $60 shipped and got omega for $28 shipped from Walmart. I really don’t want to pay $80 for the bucks so I’m just hoping to catch a restock.

I know I thought about it but If I’m being honest the head scans for series 3 look like crap in my opinion.. plus I want to have to full first series set (minus chases😑) I don’t mind waiting for the re release with new skin tones but still

The wait is finally over! Stopped at Sayville Target and finally scored L8 Ultimate Warrior. They had x1 of everyone else but no Chase Jake.
Now the hunt for the Royal Rumble Warrior can begin.

Was Titus not packed in that case? Just wondering what the breakdown is.

East Meadow Walmart only had Viscera, Ronda, Liz, and AJ. Nothing else of interest.
Levittown Target had 3 Eddies, an Orndorff, couple of Top Picks, and nothing else of note.
Yesterday I hit Target Freeport and they were pretty bare. Found 1 Prowler Marvel Legends figure and that was about it.
Is there a better day/time to hit the stores? I've tried using Brickseek, etc., but never see anything on the shelves or feel like I just missed stuff.
