That's one reason the figs heads don't look good. I think some of them have great head scans ruined by the badly painted hair. They have flat coloring, no variations, so they all looked cartoonish and cheesy. This is one issue Mattel really needs to address, it takes away from all the things they've done right.

I dont see that in the figure. I think it actually adds to the figs like Trips Taker and punk

I agree... they have a great start but the hair on guys like Michaels, HHH and Edge are pretty bad and need improvement.
I really appreciate how the figures appear to all have a unique height though and they are in scale with each other's heights.

Most defiantly the hair and some of the head-scans need some work.

That is one of the few drawbacks they have. I am not trying to bash the figures as the scale is really impressive although the body types need improvement. As opposed to Jakks super heavy bodies Mattel is producing some "crab people" angular and emaciated, should be titled "famine hits WWE", really, think about it as of when Matt Hardy and Kane have six-packs? There is a couple of other things, but I mean this is their start decent one as compared to R3 but by far not perfect. Ideally it should have been something between Current Mattel WWE and Jakks RA/CS. They should just keep on going and maybe they will find the gold standard.

100% agreed. Many heads that look iffy would look better with a more realistic application of paint.

Most of the wrestlers don't have ripped abs. Yet all the people on there boards want ripped ab cruiserweights. The jakks cruiserweight figures had 6 packs. These companies need too improve by having some mildly defined parts and flat almost a little flab parts. The fact that most of mattels figures are so defined takes away. We need a mixture. The very little defined of jakks and the thin of mattel.

The Matt Hardy toy doesn't have a sixpack. From what I remember he actually had a bit of a belly. I don't remember what the Kane figure looked like though.

I'd prefer a different torso for HHH

I think the headsculpts and bodies are very good (although the torso joint in some of the elites is distracting), it's just the paint application on the heads that isn't too great. Not just the hair but the eyes/face as well. Still, I like them a lot and am about to head out hunting.

Paint apps on the heads certainly aren't on par with other Mattel offerings, such as DCUC. DCUC characters frequently have nice paint washes on the hair, and more highlights on the faces to really bring out the details. A nice paint wash on Edge's hair would certainly be welcome. On the other hand, I think Santino looks pretty much perfect. This is definitely an area where they can stand to improve as the line marches on.

I seriously don't see a single damn thing wrong with Mattel. I think people need to stop looking for flaws.
