Hey all I was just wondering what you guys thought were the better Mattel line...Im still on the fence to which kind i like more...Some of the basic Mattel remind me of the R-3 figures (which isnt a good thing) while the Elite remind me of better made and detailed DA figures...I was just wondering which ones you guys preferred? ? Also on my mattel hunt yesterday I went to my local TRU and found a Spinner belt that played 6 Superstars Entrance themes... The Superstars were Cena, Punk, Taker, Batista, Rey, and Hornswoggle... I havent seen pics of this yet or heard it reported it seemed like a pretty cool belt.

Elite are better IMO, but they're both really well done. I'd chose Elite only because of their extra articulation. I'm also really happy that the Elite figures are in scale with the basic line.

Im not sold on the elites just yet, but I've only opened Punk. His articulation is just about as good as basic becasue of the damn kneepads. As of yet im not convinced it worth the extra 5 bucks but we'll see after ipen rey and MVP

Elite are much better, more detailed, more accurate, more articulation

you guys are weak if you're having trouble with the big knee pads I bought the whole basice series one except Batista who I'm getting in the mail, all the 2 packs,Elite MVP Undertaker and Edge,All of Wrestlemania Heritage except Taker and Cena and I've had no trouble bending the knees on any of them, the only problem with the knee pads are they can't come off unless you take the boot off,and I like Elite better than basic because of the accessories other than that it's a tie

I have two elite and two basic and by far I love elite. Basic to me is to stiff but it could just be the the ones I got but all the articulation in elite has won me over

Absolutely. The Elite line will be the only Mattel line I buy. The attention to detail is astounding with them. You can tell the Mattel really want to succeed with the WWE license. Hopefully the Elite line will just get better and better.

I have 3 Elite figures (4 if you count Beth Phoenix) and then I have Santino and Austin basic figures. I like both lines and feel that they fit well together. I will get certain basic figures like Big Show, Mark Henry and so forth that look great while other figure I may just get the Elite version of them if they are better than the basic. but so far I love Punk, Rey and Taker Elite's

Well, obviously Elites are going to overall be better because of extra articulation, detail and accessories, but essentially they are the same as the Basic in scale and stuff.

Yeah, it really just comes down to whether or not the additional articulation is worth an extra $5 to you. There are a few key POAs that the Elites have that I consider necessities, so it's worth it to me.

two more things i noticed is that my MVP elite figure and my Undertaker elite figure are just about the same size....Also i feel like the basic line isnt as playable as the RA lines were...

as a full anti-supporter of mattel i told you all I would give them the benefit of the doubt. i absolutley hated them when i saw them but I bought elite CM punk today to give it a shot and it is amazing truely a well done figure
only problem is my DA collection is so big and I am getting a little too old to collect them all again so I will pass on mattel and just buy a few jakks TNA i need, but I feel collectors might be in good hands with mattel long as they dont take the dark knight route and underproduce then overproduce

Just get the better mattel and new guys from mattel. Thats what I'm doing. Although am feeling tempted too get all the elite. They look so cool.

I dont know what MVP and Taker you are comparing...but I bought ALL the elites, all of Basic line Series 1, all the 2 packs, and entrance gear HHH and they are all in scale with one another. When I put Taker next to MVP, Taker looms over MVP. Maybe u mistakenly compared a DA MVP with an elite Undertaker, but the elite MVP and Taker are the right sizes. DMG

Personally I like the Basics more, but the Elites are growing on me.

I'm a basic guy with basic figures. No beef with the elite I just like the fact that we can get the tag team and PPV sets in basic. I only pose mine in a curio so the extra articulation isn't needed. But I'm all round impressed with Mattel so far.
