UFC.com has offically confirmed 2 major title fights for UFC111.
GSP will defend his welterwieght championship against Dan Hardy.
Frank Mir and Shane Carwin will clash for the interim heavyweight championship.
No other fights have been confirmed just yet. However, I am already going to buy this ppv!

Frank Mir has looked like a beast lately...I still hate the guy for his personality but there is no denying his fighting skills. I think he will beat Carwin and setup the rubber match against Brock.
GSP vs. Dan Hardy will be amazing. I know a lot of people are already counting Hardy out but I'm not.. I think it will be very entertaining..

Yeah I'm pretty excited for both of these. Big Hardy fan, big GSP fan. Win/win for me. Very happy to see GSP fight again.
Plus Mir is one of my fav. heavyweight fighters so I'm anxious to see if he can step it up against Lesnar if they go a 3rd time, granted he gets through Carwin 1st.

Mir is my favorite heavyweight fighter. My other top Heavyweight fighters I like arent in UFC (Monson, Fedor, Rogers) so I guess you could say he is my favorite UFC heavyweight. I want him to win set up a rubber match with Brock and win that too. But we will see. Carwin is a BEAST! Im excited for this!. But as for GSP vs Hardy... I expect GSP to give Hardy a beating. But im not counting him out. If serra can KO GSP so can hardy. I just hope he doesent. I hate GSP. But I hate Hardy even more. I cant stand either of them and IDK why in GSPs case. I just dont like him...

I think Mir learned alot when he lost to Lesnar. Since then he has gained 20lbs of muscle. I think he did that for the sole purpose of fighting Lesnar again. He doesn't want to get man handled the way he did the last time.
That said you cannot weight train intellectually- disabled person strength anf that is what Lesnar has. And by that I mean he doesn't know that he isn't supposed to be that strong.
It will either be a 20 sec KO by Carwin or Mir will tap him out. Carwin should of waited for Lesnar. That fight is more favorable for him.
The GSP/ Hardy match doesn't interest me at all. Much like the other one Hardy only has a punchers chance. So it will all come down to when GSP wants to put him on his ass and keep him their.

I have no idea why anyone would think GSP is a prick. He comes off as one of the most humble guys in the entire world of MMA every time I see him.
You want to talk prick, look at Dan Hardy. I can't wait until GSP makes Hardy look like a child.
By the end of the night I honestly think I'm going to feel bad for Hardy, who I loathe with a passion. THAT is how badly I think GSP is going to school him.
Something inside me says Mir/Carwin is going to turn out like Mir/Kongo unless Carwin can strike first, strike fast, and keep striking until Mir's lights are out. Mir will sneak in something somewhere, which puts Carwin on the floor and woozy, and he'll follow it up with a submission to win the interim strap.
I also think Mir will lose once again to Lesnar in the rubber match, regardless of whether or not he shows up muscled up, but that's an argument for another time.

I'm hoping Mir gets pass Carwin but I just can't see him being strong enough to not get man handled by brock no matter how much muscle Mir put on. The only he can win is to catch Lesnar in a sub. As for Hardy and GSP i'm not that much of a GSP fan but I can't stand Hardy so I hope GSP wins.

that is assuming Brock even comes back the same from whatever it is that is wrong with him...
I haven't followed the story much the last I heard though is he had a hole in his intestine and was basically sh***ing himself from the inside? I also heard that it is incredibly hard to come back from such a surgery and train/cut weight the way Brock does. So it'll be interesting to see how he looks when he comes back.
