Tonight was the first time since July I actually watched a wrestling show, and honestly, the future of pro-wrestling is  ed. Tonight was built around two older guys, Bret and Hogan. I watched TNA and kept thinking to myself, what year is it? It's 20 ing 10, and i'm seeing Hogan, Nash and Hall in the ring together, why? Who honestly cares about a NWO rehash in 2010? The only enjoyable part of TNA was the main event. As for WWE, seeing Bret in the ring with HBK was surreal. I honestly should of DVR'd Raw as I only cared about the Bret segments. Not much has changed in the WWE since I stopped watching. They're stilling pushing the wrong guys, the right guys to elevate are still stuck in mid-card forever and the main event scene is still stale. Sheamus as WWE champ, it's nice to see WWE elevate someone, but why this guy? No one in the crowd gave a damn about him, you could hear a pin drop in his match with Bourne. The guy is nothing special at all. Maybe I'm just overlooking things, but tonight made me sad for wrestling. The future of pro-wrestling is damn scary when in 2010, for a suppose Monday night war, the main companies needed older stars from the 80's/90's to make the shows worth a damn. |

And? That is how WCW got a lot of their talent. When Hogan messed up with Steriods and quit WWE....WCW picked him up? Same thing, different time? Not a big deal. And WCW was great, 15 years ago. TNA will never replicate the success WCW had. |

The "WWE Reject" argument really doesn't mean nearly as much as people make it out to.
More than half of the guys now in TNA left WWE on their own free will because they didn't want to be there. Sure, there are some rejects, but the guys that really matter are there because they want to be there.
You mean to tell me WWE wouldn't love to have Angle back on their shows?

Compared to Raw..where 2 weeks ago, everyone said it was the worst show they ever watched with 10 minutes worth of matches over a two hour span, let's not forget Midget Court. But dude, this was TNA's shot. Their golden opportunity. That was a regular RAW, their weekly show. As I said, this was TNA's golden ticket to stardom in a sense and they blew it. They really did IMO. |

I must say, the TNA crowd pumped me up. Their crowd makes the show SOO much better. When a crowd is behind something, it makes it THAT much better to watch. When I turned into WWE to watch Jericho leave Raw...NOTHING, I could barely hear the 'Na na na goodbye" chants  ..and I like Jericho, he deserved more. I thought the crowd got annoying. Its not ROH or ECW. The whole crowd chanting concept is old. |

But dude, this was TNA's shot. Their golden opportunity. That was a regular RAW, their weekly show. As I said, this was TNA's golden ticket to stardom in a sense and they blew it. They really did IMO. They had me, a person that hasn't watched wrestling in a few years week to week. To watching their show specifically (and I hated TNA) to now..wanting to watch each and every episode to see how things work out. That is not failing at all. |

Good point, it is all about networking. You need a good mix of old and new talent. Look what the WCW produced; Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Mysterio, etc. The talent was incredible and proved to be prominent names in the industry. This would not have happened if Hogan did not create exposure for the WCW product and competition for the WWE. I am not saying the TNA product is going to be great. I can not determine this, only time will tell. However, it does seem TNA is using the same type of plan the WCW did when they competed with the WWE. It worked in the past. Lets see if it works in the present. |

with the exception of AJ/Angle and the K.O. Tag match, every match on iMPACT lasted under 10 mins.

TNA just used every wrestler in the world on their show and it was boring. I could watch 3 hours of Bret starring at Shawn Michaels. Greatest line ive ever read on WF |

TNA had a 3 hour show with 4 matches on it. Segments build shows and character. They tried to do what they could. They obviously don't have a TON of money to do this, so they need a bit of advertising to help them out. Yes, it was a bit much, but it also helped me stay in tune with Raw..which is Win/win? |

wcw died cause of ted turner imo. but i also think tna won tonight, it had alot more electricity then wwe especially fan wise. i too kept watching tna and it was hard to watch raw, i kept going back to tna to see what was going on. i just didnt get the whole bret hart buzz. didnt see the first part of raw, but the ending was week. i did see some of the 4 way number one contender for the us title, and it was kinda boring, watched some of the dx match and just found it boring aswell, the sheamus/bourne match was off to a good start but everyone knows sheamus is gonna burry every person who faces him. then there was the orton vs kofi once more. didnt get to see much of it, was watching the angle/styles match which was really good. and then the ending of raw where vince kicked brett was just like...huh that was it? not saying the tna ending was much better but it left you wanting more.

Check this out, In the beginning of the TNA show. What was one thing the fans said they want from TNA? WRESTLING. They got Angle/Styles out of a 3 hr show. Thats not wrestling. People tuned tonight to see WRESTLING. They got backstage segment after backstage segment, then a commercial and then another backstage segment. Builds shows? That builds SHYEET. |

I should expect this more with fans of either Raw or TNA...there are no positives with you guys.
You guys hate your own show and won't give another a chance. So you're stuck with watching things you hate, but tolerate it.

The only real issue I saw from TNA tonight, as has been done in the past, is their mentioning of WWE. It's obvious that they're desperate for ratings and competition, but you don't need reveal your motive. Hulk Hogan saying that TNA is coming for Vince McMahon and the WWE is only going to serve an in inferiority tomorrow when the ratings come out and WWE destroys TNA. That isn't something you want to start messing with until you're confident that your product and audience is on par with WWE.
