Okay I recieved my first WWE mattel figures and my last WWE figures today. I bought the whole set of Elite series 1 from wrestling world and got them today and at first I was so happy to get them coz of the detail and then I opened them up
My CM Punks foot was really loose, my Undertakers foot was really loose, and my Rey Mysterios leg broke off. On top of that I really dislike the elbow pads and the coats with Edge and Undertaker
I was really excited about starting a new collection and I'm disappointed to have to finish it so quick but I don't see these being worth buying now
My days of wrestling figure collecting are over now coz I don't like DA's so I wont be collecting the TNA line
This is a very sad day for me as a collector coz for the first time in my life I have nothing to collect

Hmmm... Honestly, it kinda seems like you were just looing for reasons to not collect. Yeah, it sucks that Mysterio's leg broke off... but that doesn't make ALL the figures bad. And jakks had plenty of loose joints as well.
But, ya know, sorry to hear that your days of collecitng wrestling figures are over. Hopefully, you can find something else you enjoy collecting.

Sorry you had problems with your figs . I have been enjoying the regular series put out plus some elite. Mattel probably will replace those figs your having trouble with. Im surprised his leg broke.

So out of the whole set only 3 were messed up, At least it wasnt a whole set plus not every figure is going to be perfect there will be defects, Even the specialty toys are messed up every once in a while, You should give another chance and than than make your decision.

My John Morrison's leg fell off right out of the package. I exchanged it for a new one. This one is perfect, no flaws whatsoever.

Mattel is amazing. Those minor flaws shouldn't stop you from collecting. Give them another chance.

I can't be the only one thinking many of these people who seem to hate mattels and have had problems with them do not even have the figures esp ones who do not post pics. Its like people are looking for a reason to hate them Jakks is done get over it did you really think they would be making WWE figures forever? For me this is the 3rd time a new company has produced WWE (4 if you count bendems) and to me its part of the fun of being a collector.

Well, I am done collecting as well, however, my reasons are different. My wife just lost her job and I am only working 20-25 hours a week. I am going to have to sell 90-95 percent of my collection in hopes it helps us keep our house and car. So, if any of you need a figure or too (JAKKS) let me know and we can work out a deal if I have it. Will be posting everything on ebay soon.

I have bought my fair share of messed up jakks, toy biz, and Hasbro. Never stopped me from collecting. Go return the figures and get some new ones that aren't messed up. I am so sick of everyone bitching about Mattel.

We've done business successfully in the past and good customers can be hard to come by. Drop me an email with stuff you're looking to sell. Maybe I can help you out. Cheers, pandelisthe*greek

Eh, sounds a little whiny. I bought 5 Mattel figs and have problems with none of them and the figures themselves look amazing.

Doesn't like the figures are any worse than Jakks. Loose feet and legs breaking have been happening for years. I don't like the elite figures because of the higher price for a few extra points of articulation and extra parts that looked like they sucked (hard plastic coats aren't much an improvement from the molded on ones). The basic figures are amazing and comparable in price to Jakks.
Side note: This is the 4th time I have heard of a leg breaking off an elite figure, how are the plastic inserts on the elites, do they put pressure on the legs or do they use rubber bands as well?

I got 20 Mattel figures in the first week and I have had no issues at all. I only got the Elite Rey & the rest were basics, but still not a problem. Sorry to hear you've had problems, but if you stop now you may be missing out.

Quite whinin', ya lot of pansies! When I was a kid, we had to MAKE our own figures out of pretzels and toothpaste!

I am sticking with the regular series because they are cheaper. I have heard more good than bad about the regular basic series. Mattel is a new beginning for me.
