This was one of the most wanted fueds of the 80s . They had a breif run in during the Memphis days. But this was a fued that shoulda took mainstage in either the NWA or WWF. THo it woulda been more awesome in NWA . I was watching the old Memphis vids of this fued and wondered why no one in NWA/WWF thought about this. The most popular tag teams in NWA and AWA. That would have been solid gold. Turn the Rockers heel and give em Paul Jones or Jim Cornette.Have em attack Rick and Robert on tv. Bloody em. Then you have the Rock n Roll wars. $$$$$$ Just thinking out loud.

I had no idea that they feuded, but I would have liked to see it.
I like the idea of turning the Midnight Rockers heel, but IMO they were not ready to hang with the R&R Express on a national level. Sure the Midnight Rockers were an exciting combination, but they had not mastered their craft enough to become heels and were best suited for the babyface tag team that the R&R Express were.
Maybe if the Rock & Roll Express were the team to turn heel, I'd say it would work, but turning the R&R Express down south would not go over well if they were to be feuding with the Midnight Rockers, but if you were to have the feud take place in the AWA then it would be a go.

good thinking,sir...i originally thought about the RnR turning heel. Kinda like the Midnights stepping on their toes sorta in the rock n roll tag teams...But i felt the Rockers had less promo energy. Ricky Morton is prolly one of the best promo guys ever. And the MRs woulda needed a mouth piece. So I figured Paul Jones coulda took their helm sorta. Plus itd help him get back at RnR for beating Rude/Bull for the NWA belts.
But if RnR were to go to AWA and attck the Midnights,then i could see them being the heels....Either way.LOL

They should have had the Midnight Rockers come out in the NWA and tell Rock 'n' Roll Express how much they idolized them and they patent thereselves after them, then right when u got ppl fooled turn them heel on the R'n'R Express, they could have made a major year fued out of it, would have been fun to watch, i agree they should have a manager, Paul Jones would have worked im sure.
