I noticed that no one on here has made a comparison between the Mattel WrestleMania 22 Entrance Greats [/u] and the Jakks WrestleMania 22 Exclusives; so I took it upon myself to do so... [/center][/b] First up, Mr. 619 himself..... Rey Mysterio! As you can clearly see the Mattel Rey has the extra waist thing while the Jakks figure does not. The Mattel Rey also has more tattoos on his left arm than the Jakks. The only thing I think Jakks wins at here is that they gave Rey the white wrist-tape with the gloves, which he actually wore at WrestleMania 22; while the Mattel figure appears to just have the gloves with no wrist tape. Here you can clearly see that the Mattel Rey has the much bigger design on the tights, and also the Mattel Rey has the accurate white boots Rey wore at WrestleMania 22. Yet again, the Mattel Rey has the bigger design on the tights. Even though the Mattel Rey head scan has the accurate eyes/contacts that Rey wore at WrestleMania 22; I gotta say that the Mysterio Jakks mask/head scan is a tad-bit better. Although, the shirt thing that the Mattel Rey has is far better and more detailed than Jakks. The back detail for the shirt thing on the Mattel Rey Mysterio is yet again more detailed than the Jakks Rey Mysterio's neck thing. But, I should note that the design on the back of the mask of the Jakks Rey Mysterio is more detailed with color than the Mattel Rey. Only one way to describe this picture.... Mattel head piece > Jakks head piece.Next up, The King of Kings..... Triple H!The Mattel Triple H King of Kings is clearly way more detailed than the Jakks King of Kings Triple H. As you can see the Mattel Triple H has the King of Kings necklace and the awesome designed and very accurate kneepads. One thing that is better about the Jakks King of Kings Triple H is that it has the more accurate facial hair for the King of Kings Triple H. Another thing I can honestly say about the Jakks King of Kings is that the cape is better because it comes with a string that goes around his neck that allows you to put the cape without it falling off. The Mattel King of Kings Triple H's cape doesn't have a string and the cape just rests on his shoulders rather than having a string to keep it securely on. The boot designs are basically the same, other than the fact the Mattel design on the boots are a little bigger, but not by much. I should also note that the Mattel figure has the accurate Triple H boots. Also, as you can see the Mattel Triple H has the cool wrist King of Kings things and the Jakks figure does not. Mattel figure has the better detailed loan cloth and King of Kings belt. The skull on the Mattel Triple H's tights is also bigger and far more detailed than Jakks. I think it stands out better too. The back tight design is basically the same, but I think Mattel is just a little bit better and stands out just a tad more. So in the end, with the fact that they are far more detailed and also the awesome sweet fact that their stands play, "Booyaka 619" and "King of Kings"...your winners...

Pretty cool read bro.
You gotta remember one thing...
Jakks Wrestlemania 22 TRU Exclusives were about $16.00...Actually Rey was probably cheaper since it came out long before the HHH. I think the HHH was $15.99 or maybe even $14.99 Mattel Entrance Greats are $20.00
I guarantee Jakks would have put the most effort possible if the cost was higher. I'm not bashing Mattel on this one at all, in fact I happen to really like both those Entrance greats....$20 each is just too expensive to me.

My opinion is in agreement. The Mattel figures are, so far, much better than the Jakks figures. These Entrance Greats are awesome. I like the EG Rey, after seeing the detailed pics that you took. Thanks for those, SkullManiac. Mattel gets another sale from me due to your pics.

Lol, that Rey was seriously only about $15 when it came out? It took me years to hunt down that WrestleMania 22 Rey and it ended up costing me about $55 off of Amazon. I've felt like a dumbass for paying $55 for the Jakks Rey; ever since Mattel released their highly detailed version of WM22 Rey. I feel I got the better version (Mattel) at a much, much cheaper price... For the Jakks King of Kings Triple H I believe that only cost me like $25 so I'm not as upset as I am over the Rey lol. But, when I first saw the Mattel Entrance Greats I wasn't even going to get them; being I already had the Jakks versions. But, once I saw the detail Mattel put into them and also the fact their stands played music...I was sold!

Jakks put more detail into it if it was cost higher? I'm sure. You get what you pay for with Mattel, you get 1/2what you paid for with Jakks... sometimes 1/4. There's no question about it, Mattel is better than Jakks. Not an opinion, a fact. Anybody who says Jakks is better, is a nutcase. I understand it is hard to let go of thousands spent on their products, but there's no denying it that Mattel is more realistic, and simply look like collectors items, where-as Jakks look like crap most of the time. There is a few exceptions but they come very rare. Mattel's worst figure is probably better than Jakks best. There is always something missing with them, and that's what I hated.
And 2009 has been a complete ABORTION for wrestling figure collectors. Mattel also listen to their collectors and don't lie - see us voting on the 6 in the line-up of their first PPV set. Mattel > Jakks. I feel robbed over the years that I bought so much from Jakks. The only thing they really did good was their real scale rings, and I'm sure Mattel could put a better one out.

They are worth every penny. The detail is perfect and the bases are a great touch. Mattel wins hands down.
And steelfoxstudios, I agree I think the Santino is awesome in every way.

Yeah the Mattel Santino is actually one of my favorite Mattels. I wasn't even planning on getting the Mattel Santino, but once I saw how awesome it was in person I just had to get it.

I agree with everyone saying Mattel is better but the one thing about the entrance figures is it is easier to put details on plastic then it is on the cloth that Jakks did. Also i think the cost of these entrance greats would be cheaper if they didn't have the sound chip in them which i think they should do away with.

How anyone can still defend and prefer Jakks after seeing this is beyond me. It honestly seems like Mattel said "We are gonna take the best of what you did and do it 100 times better... YOU!" Mattel took the ideas from two of Jakks' most elaborate and distinct exclusives and completely tore them apart.

Thanks man for the pics, but in a sense i hate you!
YOUR MAKING ME SPEND MONEY! lol
But no seriously those Mattel Entrance Greats are amazing figures, the detail put into those is just outstanding.
With every Mattel figure i own i am 100% happier with these, than i am with my Jakks figures

I've played the Triple H one at least 5 times a day since I've gotten it. (my wife is getting tired of Motorhead) And I can't wait for future Entrance Greats. Piper's bag pips, Austin's breaking glass, Hitman's music all are must haves for me.

I can not wait for an Austin one and even though I was not a huge fan of his, an Ultimate Warrior one would be great. Warrior had a good (I assume) relationship with Jakks so I'll be curious to see what happens. Although, if Warrior goes into the HOF this year (rumor) it could be a lock.

PLEASE!!! stop comparing Jakks to Mattel..its almost embarrassing..i almost feel sorry for jakks..its not even close. The jakks stuff looks ridiculous. I'm ashamed i purchased anything from jakks. i cant believe i settled for that kind of quality. Thank the lord Mattel cares about their reputation. They care about the product they put out. It really should get better from here. Truthfully tho, i do remember jakks getting worse as time went on but hopefully that type of thinking ended Jan 1st 2010!
