Are you talking about the other 3 games because then that would be true. Take another look at the poll results.

Several awesome and great games. now sit down boy also half life > pokemon good bye Yes, they are awesome games, but it's still a package of several. Down at Kmart I can buy Hollywood Classics, which feature several classic movies on one disc. Does that mean it's one movie? No. It's awesome value, but it's still several movies.

Yes, but they are two versions of the same game. Released same time, same settings, same graphics, same story.... only difference is a few pokemon. I have Lord of the Rings and Lord of the Rings The Extended Version. They are pretty much the same, but change slightly. Does that mean that they aren't the same movie?

BS much better games out there than that come on guys I hate to sound like a broken record, but once again: Gold and Silver were nearly as big a defining moment in handheld gaming as Red and Blue were. They sold almost as many copies as Red/Blue and were two of the most critically respected, even critically acclaimed, Pokemon games ever. They were also a tremendous leap forward from the previous versions, many have stated that it was the first and only time Pokemon would make such a giant leap forward. Once you get over the whole "kiddie" thing, for their time Gold and Silver were both incredibly immersive, highly addictive, and required some genuine strategy, especially when playing against friends. I truly think Gold/Silver deserves this award.

A worthy winner, although GTA SA would have been a great winner as well. I preffered GTA moe.

When I nominated this in the sign-ups I never thought it would win. I've missed the last couple of rounds of voting so this is the first I've heard of it. I've spent hundreds of hours on Gold and GTA: San Andreas combined so they are both defining games for me, and would have been happy with either as a winner.
