Hey everyone. I am from Germany and I try now to collect everything (WWE) that´s got released by Mattel.
My first problem: You don´t get these figs in Germany. Only at ebay-Germany, where You pay the price for a complete Set just for ONE figure.
Or, like I did at EBAY LINK NOT ALLOWED
I only need these 4 items.Than I have everything (Basic 1, PPV 1, 1/1000 figures,Signature Series, Box Sets, 2-Packs 1+2.....): S:MatchUps Triple H, ECW Ring, Taker 1/1000 and T.Talkers CM Punk
Than today I saw a post of an Evan Bourne Flex Force figure. I don´t know why this member doesn´t post a MOC pic, only a loose figure Pic!? I don´t know if it is real.
But than later today I saw a post that Basic Series 2 was seen in Canada stores!?
Today is Jan.10th.
I think: THAT IS TOO MUCH IN 10 DAYS !!!! Not only did we get the 2nd Set of 2-Packs to early.We got a 3-Pack, a Set of 6, a Signature Series, a Belt /W Orton/HHH figures, a Ring /w Cena/Big Show figures...that was not announced !!
My Custom-Station will be very happy when all that Packages arrive. They will get a lot of Custom-Fees for them.
I like the new Mattel figures, but when they keep this speed, I think we will have the first Re-Releases in March/April, because everything has come out allready!!
When Mattel did the same mistake than Jakks, by releasing 6 or more Sets a month, I must stop collecting!! I cannot spend my loan every month for new figures. 2 Sets are okay, but I count 68 items released so far (in 10 days!!!!!).That is TOO MUCH !!!!
What do You think?

Bourne is real he is in the set along with hhh and big show possibly more as well. and no one is making you buy all of them honestly some of them have very slight variances and all of the exclusives outside of the belt set are basically rereleases with minor details removed.
and the ecw ring has not been released yet as no one has found it anywhere.

thats true 68 plus items within 10 days is insane but its also smart because they have a variety and alot of people will buy different things

I wish I could afford everything Mattel WWE is putting out. I am only collecting the basic set and that will strain my wallet. I think if they release 6 a month that will be good if they go to 12 a series like Jakks did it gets too expensive. I hope Mattel stays at 6 and keeps the repaints to a minimum. I am not buying repaints anyway one Cena ETC... is enough. LOL

I kinda like it. I'm like a big kid in a candy store when it comes to these figures. I can't wait to get Kane & Punk from series 2. And Shelton & Orton from series 3. If they were out next week it still wouldn't be soon enough for me.

I like it. I'm not a completest, but it really looks like they are trying to get the product out there for the fans. Which any Batman/DC fan (like myself) can tell you they've had a hard time doing since they got the DC license back in 03. But with the WWE it looks like they are really trying. With Basic Series 1 besides the singles you can get it in a TRU 6-Pack. Or they put some in ring sets. I mean that to me is a positive major step in the right direction from how they've handled the DC lines.

It is alot but nobody is making you buy them. Buy what you want. Mattel is very smart with this because people have a better selection than what was ever given by Jakks. Someone would say: "Do i want a Triple H with no designs from Jakks or do I want a Dx Triple H, King of Kings Triple H, 2004 Triple H or current day Triple H from Mattel?"

I think it's a big help that just about all stores are willing to stock WWE product in force. Unfortunately, the DCUC line doesn't have the same kind of weight behind that WWE does, with no movie or TV tie-in. With all these retailers on board, we're really gonna see if the distribution problems that have plagued many Mattel lines are due to stores not ordering them, or if Mattel has an inability to fill orders. I hope it's the former, as I definitely don't want yet another line I collect to be hard to find.

Youre right there is definitely a HUGE amount of product out. I seriously dont know how anyone can be a completionist of all mattel product. The stress for you and also your wallet must be immense. Im just collecting anything i really like or those people i like. Its definitely going to be hard to keep up though, kudos to you for getting so far. BTW it was aus not canada for series 2.

I totally agree with you;
trying to get all that comes from Mattel is only possible when you have a big wallet with a large amount of cash in it every month!
That is also the reason as to why I won't collect (everything from) Mattel....with the exception perhaps of some Basics and Basics 2-packs!

I'm under the impression that they simply had a lot of product ready to go for awhile now. They had time to produce a lot of stuff while waiting for January 1st. That's why everything is so outdated. Things will calm down I'm sure.

It is up to you to pace yourself so maybe you should do that instead of getting every new fig but then being in debt.
It may be old say in 2 months but if you buy it 2 months from now it will be new to you.
