Personally, I wanted the DCUC style hips on these from the get-go. Aesthetically, the hips they have look better, but as you point out, it does limit the articulation a bit. It's a problem, since the main reason many of us are buying elites is because of the added artic.

i mean it is no different than da's. I think it should be done like the Cena DA legs. Where it has the normal playability but the ability to kick up. the swivel/ball joint that connects the hip to the thigh is pretty pointless to be honest.

I wanted the DCUC style hips (They gave them to Hornswaggle) But I don't mind what we got. Although you did use the Taker in you pics which I find to be the worst of the Elites. Mainly because his butt gets in the way of his thighs fof standing up straight.

Oh boy, that's not good. My Elites arnt here yet & this comparison is putting me off. I only have Beth Pheonix which has similar Leg articulation to the Elites & I didn't like the way her Legs kicked up either, I thought it would be a hinderence for doing perfect straight up Big Boots like the Basics, yet, I like more articulatuon, not when I can't get good motion out of it though & this is coming from somebody who has been High on Mattel from the get go. Another thing I can't understand, how come they couldn't get the Basics & Elite Undertakers to be the same height as each other, I mean, I'm loving the scaling difference between their figures, but, surely the same characters weather Basics or Elites should all match & be the same size, i.e. all the Takers are identical height to each other, the Orton's are all the same as each other, etc, etc.

Yeah, I got Punk and have to agree with this... Though, it's not horrible. My feelings are, if this is there only drawback, they are GREAT figures.
On a sidenote, since you have both Mattel 'Takers, would you be willing to give me a comparison pic to either Mattel or Jakks Big Show? If you have a Big Show that is. I'll give karma.

The Basic is an almost un-noticeably bit taller. On a sidenote, since you have both Mattel 'Takers, would you be willing to give me a comparison pic to either Mattel or Jakks Big Show? If you have a Big Show that is. I'll give karma. I don't have the any Big Shows. I'm waiting for the Edge / Show two pack, sorry.

I stated before that there is very little differnec ebetween the two line sthat warrants me spening an extra 5 bucks. Even the elbow articulation is the same

I mentioned about the DCU joints, and they are totally awesome! Maybe down the line they might do it. Who knows?

That's the way to have optimum playability. I would love if the Elite switched to that way. That and the larger knee pads are Mattel's only flaw

See this is the reason i like jakks, there figures arnt in scale or hae the best detail BUT i play with my figures and the jakks figures are good stable figures to play with, i am yet to find better figures to play with, we'll see when i buy some mattels but buy the looks they wont be better play wise.

I noticed this problem, too. It's one of the reasons I was disappointed with the Elite Undertaker figure and went out and bought the WM Heritage Taker figure.

i would really love to get the dcu style hinge legs-complete with the thigh cuts. it's just a great design. maybe they just want to keep it for the dcu figures exclusivly?? costs maybe?? if i came up with a cool idea like that i would want to try and incorporate it into alll the different lines if i could. *credit 'micheal crawfords review of the week' for the pics

Yes redo them and make stretchy knee pads. MY cm punk elite figure is a joke. Knees don't bend and legs can't bend back. Until they fix these I am not buying elite mattel. On the plus side the elite clothing fits jakks. ;D
