Vince Russo answered more reader questions on his Facebook page. Regarding Jim Cornette, he said:
"Throughout my entire career I have never said one negative word about Jim Cornette, not one. If he wants to be a Vince Russo and TNA hater, let him knock his socks off, but I'm not really interested in listening to that." Russo also commentated on Internet critics: "It's because they hate me and hate Hogan, and it's also because they want TNA to be a 2 hour wrestling show, with TWO HOURS of wrestling, that ain't gonna happen, so the haters will continue to hate." Russo recently set up the Facebook page to promote his upcoming book, How WCW Killed Vince Russo.

I was one of the first to join Russo's fanpage, now there's way to many people. I think I'm going to write him a letter one day instead.

In a way I like russo. He hasn't done a bad job in tna. Now Hogan is doing wonders for the company. Sure his buddies are coming in but there has been more wrestling and more clean wins. Fantastic line ups. Less gimmick matches. Younger guys getting big wins. ;D

It's funny, TNA said that with this "reboot" of the company they would listen to the fans. On iMPACT the fans said they wanted more wrestling....thanks for listening TNA!

They need to find a good balance, enough talk to build story, and enough wrestling to keep it called a wrestling program. |

If Russo's that stupid to think that fans want non stop wrestling with no backstage segments, or storyline build, etc, then he is a intellectually- disabled person and shows that either he doesn't know what the fans want or just doesn't care. I dont care how much you think you know, when you stop caring about what your consumers( the fans) want, then your product is not gonna get bought! What fans want is wrestling that tells a story and then those stories to carry over into backstage segments, etc with continuous dramatic build up to a definitive point that has a payoff. Not a random 2 minute match here, 6 commercials there, 25 WHERE's FOLEY segments here, Oh, another 3 minute ladder match for the world title, topped off with irrelevant ODB segements, 5 appearances by guys over 50 who can barely walk, and stellar main event where the entrances last longer then the match itself. |
