I was wondering if anybody had experimented with taking apart Mattel's Basic and/or Elite style figures yet?
My situation is that I HATE Elite style torso's, yet I like the Elite legs because of the articulation. SO I want to be able to create I guess you would call them "hybrid" Basic/Elite figures that would have a Basic torso but with Elite legs.
I just think the torso joint kills the look of the figure. It's much more apparent and obvious and sticks out like a sore thumb than it did on Jakks DA figures.
Anybody else done this or thinking about doing this "hybrid" figure because they hate the Elite torsos?

How are the head joints?, i assume theyre just like RA but havent tried. Only thing ive taken off so far, are Punks boots to put some different knee pads on him, the boots are really easy to take off.

Usually, for me, on a Jakks figure, the peg comes out with the head, on Mattel, the peg stayed in the torso. Regardless, the peg is pretty much the same size.

Does anyone else find the Mattel Head-peg much easier to work with? With Jakks, I had the neck splitting almost every time I tried to switch heads. Now, it's much easier.

I have an extra Santino, so I'll do a complete dissection and post pics later tonight.
