Fearing for his job I assume he offered this apology:
And we have more from Bubba The Love Sponge, who in his latest Twitter (http:/twitter.com/BTLSRadio) messages, shows some remorse for what he said in regards to Haiti… * "I am going to say this one time and one time only. First of all a real man sometimes has to take a step back and maybe look at something"
* "They said or did so that being said I would like to apologize for my comments regarding Haiti in the world of live radio that I operate"
* "Sometimes u say things that u can't take back. So I'm man enough now to say I'm sorry for those I offended. Bubba"

I hate JB and think he has a face that only fist could love, and I feel Bubba is an obnoxious prick that has no place on TV, but the man can only help expand TNA's audience thanks to his radio show, which is obviously why he is in TNA, and anything that will help make TNA grow is ok with me. I hope he stays on board and JB gets taken off of TV for good.

I'll be honest, I really did not know anything about Bubba the Love Sponge before he came to TNA, I knew he had a radio show, of which wrestlers were occasionally interviewed on, and that he was good friends with Hogan, but his being on TNA was the first I ever saw of him or heard of him. Nonetheless, these comments from him are completely incomprehensible, and I really think this guy is a little lacking in the brain department. The man not only made these comments, but he fails to see any correlation between his making such comments and his employment with TNA Wrestling. He fails to see that he is an employee of TNA Wrestling, and whatever he says, he says as a representative of TNA Wrestling, and such a comment would most definitely reflect poorly upon the company which employs him. I say they should cut him loose. If he keeps making comments like that, he will prove to be nothing but a liability. -CMD This is pretty much a reflection of my view. The only thing I can add is to notice some of his twitter comments that alienated the wrestling fans by defending his comments about Haiti, with insults to those he assumed to be TNA wrestling fans.

So now all of a sudden the light goes off in his brain thinking "Uh-oh, maybe I said something wrong?" Hardly. More like a crappy attempt at damage control. If he really bought into what he said and fancies himself as the voice of his people he would have done nothing of the sort. Instead, at the first sign of his newfound gravy train derailing he caves in faster than a wet cardboard box. As much as I disagree with what he said I would at least have respected his point of view had he actually had the balls to stand by what he said.
As far as why he is in TNA in the first place, somehow, I don't believe TNA went searching for Bubba, yet when Hogan agreed to come onboard Bubba somehow became part of the package. Now, judging by the fans in the Impact Zone who have this stubborn insistence at times to become part of the show, I don't think TNA has any interest (nor should they if they are smart) in courting Bubba's "army", who probably take great pride in emulating their leader like all good mindless sheep usually do.
