So an hour ago I hit my Walmart and picked up basic series 2 set and took out Rey for my son. I tried to make him sit and the right leg fell off. F'n figures. This was the last one too. Does Mattel replace? I kept the package.
The set btw is awesome , I got everyone except punk

They'll probably tell you just take him back to where you found him.

^ What he said. The place where you bought it will give you a refund but you have to go hunt for it again.

I'd be curious to see a picture of how it broke. Having taking these apart, I can't image what part in the Basic leg construction would fail. Was it a hip fracture, socket separation or a malformed leg/hip peg?

Mattel will send you a $10 coupon for another figure. Reach out to them...

I just went back to Walmart , no more reys.
This same thing happened to my DC batman/clayface pack. Batmans arm would turn but it was actually just twisting the post (glue lock). My son didnt notice until it got loose before we figured it was gonna come off. Rey's leg came off alot easier but it was gluelock on the inside leg post. When the leg came off I could see it was stuck in the groin part.

When the leg came off I could see it was stuck in the groin part. Whenever you feel that the post is rubbery or "gluelock-ed" throw the figure in the freezer for about 10 minutes. This usually hardens the post, frees the glue, and makes it easier to get the joint to turn.
