I read about the new electro-vision championship belt Mattel has made, and it really got me thinking about Mattel's not-too-distant future. Here's the link to see the belt: www.amazon.com/WWE-Electro-Vision-Spinner-Belt/dp/B0030XMRGY/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&s=toys-and-games&qid=1264050702&sr=8-16So, apparently this belt displays 200 superstar images as well as entrance songs. These lights are most likely LED and are the kind that are in motion, like the moving graphic "open" signs, or a few years back people wore belt buckles that had their names scroll across it in LED light- you know? Anyway, I thought that if they could put this technology into a child's toy belt, why can't they turn this into an entrance stage? Mattel said they were looking into recreating the sound, lighting and pyrotechnics of WWE and trying to incorporate it into the figure line. What better way to bring all of these things together than with a real-scale stage? Doesn't it all make sense? I think the technology is there, and, for example, they could have a small chip included with each figure from whichever line, and use the chip to "plug and play" the entrance theme along with lighting/video for the stage. This can be similar to the TTL metal bottom of the foot sound recognition with the TTL stage. I think the sky's the limit for Mattel recreating the reality of WWE and what they truely have to offer. Please give your thoughts and comments!

A real-scale stage would be too big to fit in most people's bedrooms. I'd love to see some kind of electronic stage that played themes and videos, but I can't see it being possible at a reasonable price.

Jakks was planning a deluxe arena set before the economy tanked. I believe it was supposed to come out sometime in 2009.
It'd be pretty cool to see at the very least a higher-end stage. Storage space is pretty cheap now compared to when the original TTL stages were released, so that's not much of an issue. What would they need to make it, like 5-6 gigs for short video clips and the audio? If they tried to replicate the actual entrance stage they use now (banner graphics included) I imagine it would be up there in price. Batteries would drain quickly so I guess a wall plug-in would be necessary.
Not sure if I would get it now but if I were younger it would top the Christmas list. The whole "entrance stage" idea is brilliant. Jakks tried with TTL but the execution proved that technology and price point weren't there yet. Here we are 10 years later, things have changed a lot, so who knows what they could come up with?
I do know one thing: while it should be fairly large, Real Scale is not necessary.

I do know one thing: while it should be fairly large, Real Scale is not necessary. You'd be surprised about how small the actual WWE HD stages are. A real scale entrance stage would only be slightly wider than the real scale ring; and if people have room for the ring, they will definitely have room for the stage.

Hellboy is correct, the stages wont be too big, its more the height rather than the width or anything. Id actually be happy if Mattel just released solid non moving non electronic HD stages for each show with the normal show graphics on them. They could even make just the on HD stage which you can slot Raw, SD and ECW graphics in to change the look of the stage. Thatd be great. If they included some entrance tunes, that would be even better.

I like the expansive thinking on the concept however I dont like the execution. Screw the chips. Just have buttons somewhere on the tron so you can push them when the star comes throguh. I can defiantely see mattel making an arena that lights up and can play the music.

its a really good idea. id even settle for a stag that isnt real scale and doesnt make any noises or have lights. just something solid that can sit there. and i hope id have room for it. i have room for a real scale ring but i will not have room for something else of that size.

^ Yes I'd settle for a well-made, non-special stage, but if they can pull this off, It'd be crazy.

i bet someone will bring this up tonight during the live chat anyways, the stage would be awesome, but it will be way too expensive i would personally be more than happy with a normal, non electronic stage with nothing special just big enough and accurate looking it would be cool if it folded up kinda like the micro arenas do
