Is there any news on if they will release a box set of the second basic series? I know the first one just sort of slipped under the radar until people started seeing them in stores. If there has been one released, I haven't heard anything about it.

I hope they do them for all the series but I still rather have each one separate.

That would be awesome, because it eliminates the possibility of not being able to find 1 or 2 guys in the set, and with TRU doing this get $10 off a purchase of $40+ already two times in 3 weeks, you basically end up getting 6 figures for the price of 4, or at least 6 for the price of 5 if the sale is not going on at the time.
In my opinion, the 6-packs are awesome and a great deal and I would love for TRU to do a 6 pack for EVERY Basic series.

Hahaha seriously, that should be Mattel's catch phrase on the back of the box:
STAY TUNED!

I doubt they'll make a habit of doing the boxed sets, but it would definitely be nice. I can see them balancing out the lower price down the road by excluding any accessories (that is if/when basics start coming with accessories).

Bought the basic 1 pack for 39.99 after the 10 dollar off sale... only problem is the certain figs lack specific detail... other than that it is a great buy. I hope they continue to produce these sets.

I bought the boxed set on 1/1, opened it, and didn't see any details missing compared to pictures posted on WF of the single-carded figures. Unless I'm misunderstanding what you meant...

Yeah. What details are missing?
Since I will probably open the Series 2 figures I found, I would buy a Series 2 box set of all 6 to keep sealed.

I would love for each series to come in a 6-pack. It's PERFECT for MOC collectors and I would collect them all since it's a fairly good deal and excellent presentation.
