If its deluxe im out if its ruthless im in. This was from ringside collectibles when I asked them: "Not sure yet as we have not seen the prototypes yet. Thank you for shopping Ringside Collectibles! Ben" Dont they have some kind of connection at JAKKS? GET ON THE PHONE PEOPLE! How can those guys pre-order something they have no idea what it is? Could end up being those dollar store unleashed havok style figures for all we know. I won't pre-order anything yet as I figure most won't. Its going to be DA. The way it should be. RA is an inferior line. People need to realize that RA is the new TTL. You might see them pop up with no detail and all HW scans in a TRU 3 pack or at the dollar store just to get rid of the plastic they have. But otherwise, its dead. If its going to be DA then RA wont be a dead line but Jakks will be a dead company. Even with basic figures DAs didnt sell as well as RAs

I HOPE they are RA as do many on here. If not, there will be hell to pay I'm assuming the TNA LOTR line will just be a sub-line and the NWA Legends line is it's own line. The NWA BETTER be RA or else Jakks just shot themselves in the head. If Mattel has an "RA" and "DA" line why can't Jakks (they would please BOTH fans). RSC Tom just confirmed that the LOTR Line is the NWA Classic line, NOT a TNA sub-line. So hopefully they will be RA as Jeremy said. well so much for us getting a lot of classic nwa names in the nwa line- if this lotr line is the nwa line, we're just gonna get tna type names, hogan, flair, etc.

I'm sure Jakks want's to start out the Legends line with big names/demanded wrestlers. We will eventually get the "true" NWA legends in time. Plus they save money by making TNA wrestlers so they don't have to sign them to a Legends contract which may lead them to free up money for other NWA legends.

Why does everyone hate on the deluxe figures? I think they're the best ever made. I'll pop the heads off and MAKE them deluxe!

Most every post here is wishing for/ hoping for RA style. Why would Jakks make something incorrectly? There is a MAJOR market for RA style wrestling figures. They are shooting themselves in the foot if they don't cater to this huge fan base of RA fans.

I'm sure no matter what they are they'll move just like every other line. I really don't care what style they are anymore as I have 3 different setups as it is...CSDA CS & Mattel. So if they are RA styled CS they'll go with my CS set up. If they are DA styled they'll go with my CSDA setup.

This isnt the first time Jakks changed the style of figures. People who collected BCA said the same thing when TTL came around and TTL said the same thing when R3 came around, so on and so forth. And yet Jakks continued to be extremely profitable for more than a decade. You and a few others might not make the switch. Its possible. But 80% of fans will. Just like how many people said they wouldnt switch to Mattel. And yet they are doing it. Some faster than others. Some slower. Evolution is inevitable. You can either embrace the change and evolve with it or be fade away into history.

When I read the title, I thought 'LOTR' stood for Lord Of The Rings So did I !!! As for the DA lines I can't stand them. They have no scale to the normal RA line. The only DA figure I am going to buy is Suicide.

I Hated the Look of them but mostly i hated the fact that i had to start my collection all over again. when RA's came out i started collecting again with the classic series but lost interest quick when i realized how lame they were to pose. as soon as i seen CSDA i fell in love, im a Deluxe collector now , and deluxe is the future, RA is the past , let it go. Someday DA will Also be Evolved to something else , etc etc

We were told RA and it's a ing awful business decision to announce one thing and then say it, we're deciding to do something else and go against those we said we would listen to.

We were told RA and it's a ing awful business decision to announce one thing and then say it, we're deciding to do something else and go against those we said we would listen to. I do agree that Jakks should NEVER have come out and announced a Legends line being in RA. Absolutely agreed. However, I never bought into it. There is no need on cost basis to produce RA. They have the parts and molds they need for DA in the TNA line. Jakks probably took a look at people moving to TNA and those folks bitching about the legends line not being in scale with the DA figures. So when Jakks announces they will be the same type as TNA, those fans will cheer Jakks on as a hero. Jakks "listened" to the collecting community. Clearly, I accept the fact that the popular vote demands RA. However, its more of an economic decision in this case. Its dollars and sense. Jakks realizes scale is more important to collectors than duplicates. Thus, if Jakks retools the designs and forces the community to start the collections over, they will make more money. In addition, no matter what toy line it is......it will evolve and change. Sometimes, figures will remain in similar scale. IE....GI Joe of the 80's and today's 25th and ROC lines. The design has changed. The parts have changed. But you can integrate your old Joes, flawlessly. Then you have the wrestling lines, DC Universe, Marvel, etc. that revamp their lines, evolving into a better product. The collecting world loves articulation. And Jakks wants to deliver that. DA provides a higher articulation, can be sold for a higher price and now will be in scale with their legends line, cutting back on money that would need to be spent in order to produce an inferior line of toys.

They have the RA parts already made from when they were doing the WWE line.
I like the articulation RA figures have. I have no need for a figure to bend in half at the torso or for figures legs to be able to spread and do the splits. I also have no use for long flimsy, freakishly long legs.
And they are already making RA figures, so they can continue on with that in the classics line. They can do what they did with the WWE and slap a bigger price tag on it because it's a classic line.

They may have some left over parts, but certainly not enough to develop a line over the next X number of years. You may not like the DA line. Your opinion. I hate the RA line b/c how horrid the torsos are and how short and thick the legs are. Jakks isnt making RA. Not that I know of. What line is gonna have RA? The only RA I know of are going to be those dollar store figures and that will only continue until all the RA parts they currently have are used up. They most certainly will not buy more.

They signed a contract, they have to have parts that will last a certain number of years. They can make more RA parts, they are going to be producing head scans anyways, might as well.
I'm sure they made TTL parts and didn't just finish up using what they had, because of all the years the TTL line went on for the dollar stores or even the TRU 4 packs.
Classics are supposed to be a collector driven line. So they should make them compatible with their other classics so the collectors can have the scale you were talking about.

Jakks has never cared about scale so why would they now? Jeremy said the main lines will be DI (DA) and there will be less detailed figures sold at grocery/discount/pharmacys stores which will more than likely be their new Backlash styled figures. And the Backlash always seem to be the old main styled figures. When TTL's came out as the main line the discount Backlash figures were BCA. Then when RA's became the main line the Backlash styled figures became TTL's. So I'm sure the new "Backlash" styled discounted figures will be RA (RI).
