Well, you can't control your dreams so you will have to wait for this to end. Hopefully it does not go on for too much longer. I don't like it when I am dreaming that I am falling off a cliff because like you said, it feels real and scares me a lot when I wake up. Also I find that when I do remember my dreams, it was about something I was thinking about just before I fell asleep.

That happened to me before, freaked me out too. I had one dream where I was running away from something through some rose bushes, and when I woke up my legs had cuts on them.

For some reason in 5th grade; I'd think of something for a while & end up dreaming about it.

Are you having the type of thing where you are half asleep and you fall in your dream and you wake up and have the mini spaz attack?

The dreams feel pretty real but are like closed in, and its like if i am cut, in the dream it feels so real as if i am actually getting cut and the shock from that wakes me up

I've honestly done some research about this. What everyone is describing are all various symptoms of sleep paralysis.
Contrary to popular belief, sleep paralysis extends to a lot more symptoms than just "feeling as if you are awake but unable to move". Sleep paralysis is closely tied to feelings of being crushed, cut, and other forms of being hurt, a feeling of intense fear, imagined tingles or vibrations or movement, and the feeling of a "presence", be it invisible or visible.
For example, I have sleep apnea. I've had sleep paralysis several times. In my dreams, I've been scratched, burned, and outright stabbed, always feeling intense pain and fear, and the burning/scratching/cutting is always done by "something", which has both been invisible and visible to me. I also feel tingles, and the inability to move while being hurt.
After this I normally segue into several false awakenings (which is another phenomena entirely, look it up if you want). I wake up feeling drained, but I no longer wake up feeling scared or wondering what happened to me. It's gotten to the point where I can even tell that the "symptoms" are starting, which better prepares me to deal with it and, in some certain weird cases, "fight it off".
I'm sure this all sounds strange and incredibly frightening the first time you experience it, it did to me. But it's nothing to be scared about. It normally occurs to people who already have sleep disorders, but realistically, it can happen to anyone. I've also heard that jumbling up your sleep patterns, not getting enough sleep, and heightened stress can increase your chances of an episode. But as I said, realistically it can happen to anyone.
So don't worry, what you're going through has been the subject of a lot of scientific research. There's a lot of information out there if you choose to look for it.
I hope this helped.

Basically, I've been able to realize what is happening, and instead of being scared and going through the entire fear/pain/etc. series of events, I mentally force myself to wake up.
As I've said before, I've gone through it many times. Once you know the symptoms, it becomes pretty easy to tell when you're about to experience an episode.
Even if I can't "come up" out of it, just knowing what is happening goes a long way towards alleviating the feelings of pain and fear associated with sleep paralysis.
Sleep paralysis is definitely a hard thing to go through, but I'm posting here to alleviate the fears you or others like you may have.
You're fine. You're not going crazy. What you're going through has been the subject of some very serious scientific research into the nature of sleep. It's an incredibly bizarre phenomena, but it's not an indicator of anything wrong with you.
It's just an incredibly weird sleep phenomenon.
