There is a Walmart close that has not stocked basic 2 yet, they have the spots cleared and when I went yesterday the had Blue stickers where the figures should be. Does anyone think the should be stocked soon? I dont want to keep going back everyday.
Maybe someone on here has or know someone who has worked at Walmart maybe knows the answer?

I've ran into the same issue last week. I called the next few days and they still haven't stocked. Not sure what the sticker means unless it's that they have stuff coming....eventually.

The stickers usually mean they are on order. I'd say get someone to tell you the UPC # for one of the Series 2 figures and just call in the morning to see if they are in stock yet. Normally if you get the dept manager and they're on order they'll tell you when they expect them.

Sometimes it takes up to 2 weeks for the on order stuff to show up.

When it comes to customer service, help, and generally finding out about an item from employees.... Wal-Mart is the absolute worst, while Target is the absolute best.
For Elite 1, before Jan 1.... Target was able to print out a receipt for me with all the locations carrying them and the amount they had in stock. And generally, their employees are helpful and at least understand the product.
Wal-Mart on the other hand, if I call, odds are I cant even get anyone on the line from the toy department. If I do they have NO IDEA what they are talking about. They will never go to the back and check for you(my experience).... and when it comes to UPCs, their system is not at sophisticated(or at least as helpful) as Target or TRU.
When I have managed to get someone on the phone @ Wal-Mart regarding Basic 2, I give them the UPC and they tell me they have them in stock. One time the lady told me they had '50 on the floor.' She obviously had no idea what she was talking about. When you give them a Series 2 UPC... it pulls up their inventory for Series 1 as well. And attempting to explain the difference between Series 1 and Series 2 to a Wal-Mart employee is almost as difficult as rocket science.
Now that my rant complaining about Wal-Mart is done... my point is - you cant depend on calling, or using UPCs, or stickers, or their employees. You can only depend on yourself by getting their and getting lucky.
I was lucky enough to find a Kane (1/1000) and Rey (1/1000) each at different Wal-Marts... but it certainly wasn't through the help of Wal Mart employees... it was me just making repeated returns to the store and checking for myself.
Just my experience with Wal Mart, especially as of late... you just need to keep checking yourself.

i completely UNDERSTAND what you mean about walmart...the employees have NO clue about anything in the store...they just stock and work there

In fact- It drives me nuts... I was actually going to start a post about it - but held off. At least I can vent here. lol. Too bad Wal Mart is getting everything in before the other stores.

Ugh. I agree with what was said above. Hearing news of Wal-Mart getting in new figures is brutal. Calling on the phone is impossible and going there is even worse. I wish TRU was receiving the new stuff. Oh well. I'll check Wal-Mart when I'm near it but otherwise it's frustrating.

There is the red and blue stickers for the outs, the Red sticker means there are some counted in the inventory system and the blue means there is a zero count.
And for those saying people there don't know about the product, seriously, if any of you would have worked in woman's clothing and would you seriously go to look up designers and crapand do research and get to know the stuff, specially when on minimum wage? I doubt it, so honestly the wal*mart employee bashing is seriously uncalled for.

I wouldn't apply for a job in women's clothing... i'd make sure to be in a section that I had some sort of interest in or at least attempt to help customers until they find what they need. I'd be bored to death if I weren't going out of my way to help a friendly customer trying to find something.
No, I would not do research... but I would at least walk around the area and try to famaliarize myself with the different products. They seem to do this a lot better at Target, TRU, and everywhere else... just not Wal-Mart. They deserve to be bashed... they are the worst employees around, even the managers.
I'm sure there are exceptions, but this is just my experience with the majority.

Yeah, where I work is one of the exceptions, Hell I don't even work in the toy department but will get something for some one if they ask, and in defense of the wal*mart employees they're usually right cause at my store the only time we had something in the back room for wrestling figures is when we had a severe over stock of poopty Adrenaline figures (nothing but Santino/Maria and the Burchills) and it is something that is asked for a lot you really can only be asked so many times a day if something was in the back room.  Also not every one has the luxury of being able to be picky about their job, some just desperately need one and will take any they can get. |
