Austin, hands down....
I really like Earthquake and Matt Hard too, and then Vince.

I was not impressed with this set at all. I was truly dreading this set when it first came out. To me, this whole set was a waste of space. Other than Holly, these were all re-releases in one form or another. Holly was the only new face. So, the choice here was easy for me. Really bro? How come? Too many "modern" faces? I honestly thought this set was pretty damn cool. Every figure was done pretty well & accurate. I mean, Kaufman was really unnecessary, but they went the extra mile with him by giving him the cool robe. There were way too many people that had multiple releases in the entire CS line. To me, that was one of the reasons we didn't get some of the names we were suppose to by the time it ended. Just go through the entire line and count all the names of people who had multiple releases. Then, turn those "mutiple spaces" in to new names and figures we could have gotten. You think the CS line is big now, it could have been HUGE with the amount of names we got. I just feel they didn't use the spaces wisely. The tag-teams they put in the singles packaging (L.O.D, Demolition, Powers of Pain, Briscoes, etc.) are other spots they wasted. The tag-teams should have been used only for the 2 and 3 packs. The dog toys were another waste of spots. Several spots there. So, no, I would have liked any NEW faces, whether from the 70's, 80's, or 90's, but they were determined to include people that didn't fit into those era's into the line they had decided on the packaging itself. I would have been happy seeing some more attitude era figs, there are plenty to choose from, without ever having to release the same name again. And if they never duplicated a name, they would have had plenty of spaces.

And if they never duplicated a name, they would have had plenty of spaces. A very valid point. However you have to give Jakks the benefit of the doubt on the figures they released. I don't know by what set...but I'm assuming it was Classic 24....when they knew they were losing the license. I'm quite positive Jakks had intent to release as many new faces as possible, which to me still leaves the opportunity open with the NWA line. Also, as far as I know...every superstar not currently employed by the 'E had to sign a contract with Jakks to produce a said number of figures. Earthquake was probably on board for 2. You've got both his "eras" covered, and to me, that was important. Steve Austin...probably wasn't necessary given the amount of figure's he's had. Bob Holly was a semi-important part of the mid 90's, not to mention he was already employed by the 'E. Kaufman's estate probably wanted 2 figures...one in the 2 pack and one regular...to get more money off of Jakks Chainsaw Charlie, was better than getting another Terry Funk and also due to a contract obligation MH was a no brainer...but you're right him & jeff should have been a CSTT set Vince i'm 50/50 on...while I always wanted a proper Vince in "Wrestling" gear...they could have released that in the regular RA set. He is the owner of the company and should be allowed to put a figure of himself wherever he wants, lol. I certainly would have liked to have seen more new faces. The LJNs were all complete wastes, but who knows...maybe they wouldn't have bothered with another figure and each set would just be as is?
