Despite the warning of a quick snowstorm with strong winds, I decided to go out today to the nearest TRU as it's my day off. When I got there I saw Series 2 fully stocked on the pegs. I also saw two x/1000 Kanes just staring me in the face, both of them on the same peg, one behind the other. I chose to buy the lower of the two, which was #0697/1000. As for the other Kane, I decided to leave it there. At the beginning of the year I decided that I wouldn't be greedy in terms of x/1000s -- if I found one in a store that I already had or there were multiple of the same figure, I wouldn't buy them all unless there were extenuating circumstances like an extremely low number. I guess it's sort of a mutual respect thing. I sure wouldn't want a fellow collector to have bought every single of those figures on the pegs 5 minutes or so before I got there leaving me with nothing, so that's my reasoning. If anyone wants to score an 0856/1000 Kane that lives in the Capital Region of New York, (Albany/Troy/Saratoga) there's one at the Colonie TRU across from Colonie Center. It's on the lowest peg in the very back. Good luck! Matt

Yeah, like I said it was a quick burst. It's not snowing here anymore, but it's still windy. The snow started to stick but I think people expected it to be a lot worse than it was. To think I almost took a detour back home as I wasn't sure if I'd get caught in something wicked, sure glad I didn't.

Nice congrats on the find. Shouldve picked the other up for trading bait or ebay. Like I said, I'm not really interested in selling them for profit. I'm involved with collecting for myself and for my fellow collectors. If I can help someone find something they want/need then that's awesome. I'd also much rather grab them as I see them in person than trade for them. I'm not necessarily a completist in this regard, it'd be nice to complete a set for the sake of completion but all to often I find that it's a waste to grab figures I don't like to complete a set. For instance, I'm not really a fan of the Series 2 CM Punk and I also have his Elite figure which I'm more than happy with. HOWEVER, if I find an x/1000 CM Punk I'd be more than happy to snatch it up.
