So i am wondering what the WF'ers feel about the Mattel WWE display stands. At first glance i apreciate the old school throw back of including a display stand. This is remincent of the LJN figures and the early Jakks BCA line (begining at series 2 i believe). But do you think it is realy worth it? I mean for me I can display a figure just fine with out a stand. Not that the stand is bad. It is fine. But for my money i would rather have that effort and plastic put into a useful accessorie.
I sincearly hope that these things are fased out of the line as they were by jakks.
Come on Mattell. Give us accessories in the BASIC LINE!

I like them. I guess I wouldn't be upset if they didn't come with the figures, but certainly not going to complain that they do. I use them to display the figures and it is also nice that when my wife looks at them (she doesn't watch wrestling much), she isn't asking my who they are because she can read the names.
It's a nice little touch, but would be cool if they came with an accesorie instead.

I like them. I display my collection only, and stands do help to prevent tipping over, and with the use of names on them, stop people who don't watch from annoying me with, "dur, who is dis" every two seconds.
Makes them look a little more high-end than they are (in my opinion).

I think they are a nice touch if you have the room to display them. But as it is now I can get more on a shelf without them. Other than belts or wrestler specific accessories I have no need for accessories like tables/ladders/chairs/cookie sheets/trash cans/etc.

If I wanted little accessories, I'd buy Flex Force. Since I am only displaying these figures, the stands are such a great addition.

While I don't collect these personally, I have been pondering the idea of the stands. The way I see it, with or without the stand, the price wouldn't be any lower, so I don't really see an issue. I find the lack of accessories to be an unrelated problem to the stands. It's not like they decided stands are more important than accessories, it's more a thing of them probably trying to push those hideous Flex Force figures with the allure of accessories in the package.
Jakks gave us a ton of fairly compatible accessories, so I say use those in the meanwhile. It's a given Mattel will start to dish out their own versions over time.

I really think Mattel should make accessory packs for those who want them... I mean, just displaying the figures, what would I do with chairs, tables, and stuff like that? Championship belts are fine, but I don't personally care about about other accessories myself.

I have no use for accessories. The stands are a great addition to the line.
The stands coupled with the variety of sculpts and spot on deco make these figure have a more "high-end" feel.

I love the stands since I display them and my son doesnt like them because "he cant get them out of the case". LOL
He plays with his figures so I use his left over stands for the few Flex Force figures that I wanted to display like the DX HBK and new Evan Bourne.

Actually, one of the main reasons I decided to sparingly continue to collect was that they all included display stands.

The dispay stands are great. Most people who buy just for display would probably prefer to leave them in the package, but this way we can open them and display them and they still have a nice look to them, instead of just a bunch of toys on a shelf.

Love em!
I'd be pi$$ed if they phased them out, because then not all the guys would have one. I only display mine and with these bases I display them more proudly. Keep the crappy accessories.

Display stands would've been good with RAs. Mattel doesn't have the same ankle issues, but they're still a nice addition.

I agree with most people who say to keep them. I mean they are a great idea and if they aren't going to give us accessories at least let us keep the stands. It also makes figures look nice on a shelf

Great Addition- The basic line was geared more for collectors and the flex force line was geared for kids. Collectors mainly display as kids play

I am mainly intersted inf gure specific accessoreis. Just bugs me that you have to buy an Elite undertaker in order to get his hat. That seems wrong to me. I know it isn't cool to complain about getting osmthing extra but it's my problem. I don't use them, yet i can't bare to throw them out. Maybe i will try to ebay lot them off.

I like them a lot, but damn it can be a struggle getting them out of the packaging.
