I have been reading on here where apparently in some regions, Mattel figs are not selling so well.......overall here in the Southeast, I would say Mattels are doing okay.....I can still go to various local KMarts & WalMarts and find all of the Heritage & Basic figs, however so far, I have not seen any Basic Series 2 or the HBK Entrance Greats.
About 2 weeks ago, I finally got my very first TRU Rewards coupons (mostly from Christmas purchases)....I got a $5 off coupon and one of the other many coupons, was a 20% off any WWE Mattel product. The thing I first noticed was the expiration date is today.....1/30, not a lot of time to buy something-especially given the inventory of many TRU.
Since then, while I have been reading where most everyone in the Northeast have gotten the second wave of Mattel figs....here, still nothing.
So yesterday.....the latest truck came to my local TRU (the only one in the city) and brought ziltch in the way of wrestling figs...no Mattel, no older Jakks CS....zero-nothing......so there I was in a TRU which had nothing remotely wanted, yet, if I didn't spend $5....it would go to waste, so I bought another: I already have one, however based on what I have seen-this seems to be the most popular ELITE Mattel fig, so now-I have this which I got for $5 less than retail and I never spent my 20% off coupon, which would not work on-line and I really didn't see anything there either that I wanted........Hit me up over in the classifieds if you are interested in a trading for an Elite Punk.

I haven't gotten any TRU reward coupons in the mail since Novemver....and I spend a TON of money there and always use my rewards card, so it doesn't make sense.

Im haveing a problem with my rewards card as well. The system in the store wont recognize it. maybe yours is doing the same. It rings up like normal with no sign of trouble, but I had them check on its status because I have not recieved anything since nov. and it doesnt recognize my account. Not sure if I can do much about it though.

That is such a great fg but it aint selling by me, mainly because punk is heel. Either way, ive got $10+ in cupons that are supposed to arrive today

With the exception of the Elite Edge, Punk & MVP all Mattel figures are selling very well by me.

I know in theory it's a waste to use the 20% off on one figure, but if it's just going to go to waste you should have also used it on the Punk and saved another 20%. Both times I used my 20% off coupons (Once on Jan 1st and the other last week) I also used 2 $5 off coupons. |

My Toys R' Us has been restocking JAKKS more than Mattel. There are easily 30 or so Deluxe Classic Superstars Series 8 on the shelf right now. I was there Thursday morning and asked if they had gotten any new Mattel in, and was told "what's out is all we've got, and we already put all the wrestling stuff out", so I figured I was out of luck. Fast forward to later in the day, as I left work early and on a whim, stopped by there again...only to find Basic Series 2 on the shelf (and obviously missing whatever 1/1000 came with it, as their were 10 figures on the shelf, and it appeared that either Jack Swagger or CM Punk could have been the 1/1000).

I've never got ant rewards from TRU yet. And god knows I spend enough there. And around here at least Rey seems to be by far the hardest to find elite figure.

Well I'm in the northeast and I haven't seen any Basic Wave 2 or HBK Entrance or Tag Wave 2 at all. I got a ton of figures a month ago but now nothing new seems to be showing up, plus Wave 1 never seemed to arrive here more than a trickle.
And the TRU rewards coupons can be very lame. I haven't received any in a while, but when you get them and they expire in three days, what good is that? I did use my 20 percent off to save about 40 bucks on a ton of the Mattel WWE stuff, but I'm lucky I went when I did because like you said, the inventory is pretty weak around here.

I used two $5 off Rewards coupons on a single CSDA before they expired a few months back. There is nothing printed on the coupons that said you couldn't use more than one coupon on your purchase. |

I was the first person to sign up for the TRU rewards program at my TRU, and it took a few months before the staff even knew what the card was. All this time I have never gotten any reward coupons. I checked online and I should have, also I found items that weren't even my buys on my account so I am ready to give up.

I have the rewards points thing but it didn't work the last time i went there i just gave the guy my fone number and he said i wasn't in the system so i said  it. I don't buy to many figures from TRU anyway since they are more. |

You dont always earn rewards cards points. If you go to the website it shows that there are periods where you earn points. It doesnt always earn points like a best buy rewards card. There are 60 day periods where you earn points, and they send out the coupons when they end. Then there are periods where no points are earned at all.

Its written on the back of my 20% off coupon...."only one coupon per item purchase"

I think the clerks here just don't know how to work the system. |

dont feel bad wagdaddy, my tru gets trucks in on friday mornings, and I was working, but i busted my butt all morning to take a lunch at 10 am and get there when they opened, expecting basics, old jakks figs, and new transformers, only to find they got NOTHING in that i wanted, unless I was a gijoe fan, those guys had a ball....maybe next week  ps im in central jersey |

I really prefer the "running total" the way Best Buy and a few other business do it.....makes more sense to me. |

I wish RSC would come up with some 'frequent flyer' points system to get free figs based on what one spends......you listening there WF Admins....?
