It's not so much that SM1 Rey was inaccurate, as it was representative of a different time frame. Like the WM Heritage figures or EG Rey. EG Rey doesn't have every one of his current tattoos, but it represents WM22, and at that time, all the tattoos on the figure are all the ones that he had that night. The WM Heritage Edge, Batista, and Orton are the same ways. Edge is based off WM21, and he only had the sun tattoo = figure only having the sun. Batista did not have the swirling flags = no swirling flags on the figure. And Orton is based off WM24 and then he didn't have his tattoo sleeves, which = the figure not having said sleeves. I find that attention to detail that Mattel has paid to getting these guys right for the time frame they are representing to be incredible. We would have gotten full tattoos on Jakks figures, even in the attires that they are in. And painsakingly LESS detail. Small/missing logos, inaccurate colors, etc. I praise Mattel for the work they've done thus far, and only look forward to further growing my Mattel collection.
