I will be leaving on a trip on Monday until March 3, so I'll try my best to be part of this thread. It's in a few weeks, so I see no harm in starting the thread now.

James Te-Huna vs. Igor Pokrajac
C.B. Dollaway vs. Goran Reljic
Chris Lytle vs. Brian Foster- I hope lights out gets the KO in this fight. He is probably one of my favorites at WW. He has FOTN type fights everytime he steps in the octagon. Hope this one isn't any different.
Stephan Bonnar vs. Krzysztof Soszynski- This will be Bonnar's final fight in UFC imo. He hasn't looked all that great in his last handful of fights. Soszynski is an exciting fighter and I think he will be the future of the UFC. Brandon Vera was a fight that he wasn't ready for. But I think he will beat Bonnar by UD.
Elvis Sinosic vs. Chris Haseman
Mirko Cro Cop vs. Ben Rothwell- I would love nothing more than for Cro Cop to win via MURDER KO but I think Ben wants it a bit more than Cro Cop does. I think Cro Cop just wants to finish his contract and retire. I see Big Ben winning a very uninspiring TKO victory.
Keith Jardine vs. Ryan Bader- I don't understand what is wrong with Keith Jardine. He can take Rampage, Chuck Liddell, and Brandon Vera's best punches and kicks but yet he gets KO'd by Houston, Wanderlei, and Thiago Silva. I think he will be able to win this fight. Perhaps this is the one fight we will finally see how good his jiu-jitsu and wrestling really are... I am hoping Jardine wins by KO.
Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos- I see this fight being very similar to the fight Stevenson had with Nat Diaz. Stevenson wins by UD.
Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping- This is the fight I can't WAIT FOR. Wanderlei is going to KILL Bisping. I know everyone doubts Wanderlei...he is past his prime, he sucks now, blah blah blah...I still think he is a dangerous guy to fight. In the UFC he went three rounds with Chuck Liddell in what many believed to be FOTY, He murder KO'd Jardine, and went three rounds with one of the most UNDERRATED fighters Rich Franklin in what was another exciting fight. His only poor performance was against Rampage. I think he is going to come into this fight like the Wanderlei from Pride and just run through Bisping. I see Bisping trying to utilize the "hit once and run for 2 minutes" gameplan that he used against Leben. The only way Bisping wins this is by UD. He isn't going to submit Wanderlei and as weak as everyone says Wanderlei's chin is I don't think he has the power to KO him. Wanderlei wins this one by a highlight reel KO.
Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez- Cain is a beast. Everyone underestimates him but the guy is just insane. But I don't think he will pose a threat to Big Nog in any way whatsoever. Everything he is good at Big Nog has faced guys who have been 10 times better. I'm hoping he comes in the shape that he came in when he fought Couture because he looked amazing. Big Nog wins by Submission.

Does Cro Cop have any chance? The way he's been fighting, highly unlikely. I mean, the guy only has 2 victories in the UFC and they were over very sub-par competition in Eddie Sanchez and Moustafa Al-Turk. Granted, Big Ben Rothwell is coming off a loss to Cain Velasquez, but I think Rothwell will be more ready to go this time around than his previous fight in the UFC. This very well could be a "Loser Leaves UFC" fight, especially in Cro-Cop's case. If he loses this one, then not only should he be out of the UFC, he should hang it up and call it a day. I mean, he's lost to Kongo, Gonzaga, and Dos Santos and if he loses to Big Ben, then he's done for sure. I'm putting my money on Rothwell in this one. |
