What are some of the simple things you miss about the classic days of wrestling? Here are some of mine:
I miss...
Watching wrestling on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Going to my local video store to find the newest Coliseum Home Video release.
Being excited all week knowing there was going to be a Saturday Night's Main Event on that weekend. By Saturday afternoon I could barely contain myself. There were going to be BIG matches on!
Sean Mooney telling me about what great matches were going to be coming to my local arena.
WWF ice cream bars!
Gorilla Monsoon and Gene Okerlund being the voice of reason and common sense.
Hulk Hogan being the real life Superman. I could always count on Hulk to do the right thing.
Knowing that it was all "fake" but still believing it was real.

Sitting in school Monday just waiting to get home because Raw would be on soon.
I miss the Corporation as well.

I remember talking to friends at school about what happened on the NWA and WWF shows that weekend.
I miss Superstars of Wrestling. Saturday Nights, it had 8 hours of non-stop wrestling. WWF, NWA, WCCW, AWA, Mid South, Memphis, GCW, FCW, and all-sorts of stuff.

Watching Superstars on a Saturday morning. When you heard that Michael Jackson song come on? Awesome! Then seeing Vince and Bruno standing there. When Pipers Pit would come on and see Roddy walk out and grab the mic and make fun of the people. The Saturday Nights Main Event theme song. Prime Time Wrestling Theme Song and TNT! So many memories I miss so much.

Sitting in school Monday just waiting to get home because Raw would be on soon. This, just replace Raw with Nitro. Livewire and Superstars. I never got sick of watching the same recaps several times a week. When Sunday Night Heat would lead into a PPV and they would announce a gimmick change to a match or do something to get you stoked on the PPV, although living on the west coast always ed with the timing, so Heat would always be on in the middle of PPVs.

Man, screw Raw, screw SmackDown and definitely screw ECW. I'd trade them all for some old-school episodes of WWF Cavalcade or Maple Leaf Wrestling. Now, those were awesome shows. I miss those days of wrestling.

I miss those days of wrestling. YES!!! Remember how big of a deal it was to occasionally see Hogan or Hulk Machine on MLW. Loved it, loved everything about it. 7 on Saturdays was terrific, don'tcha dare miss it

I miss Saturday morning wrestling, Saturday night Wrestling, Sunday morning wrestling. I miss the AWA after school on ESPN, I miss GWF and USWA after school on ESPN also.
I miss the Survivor Series on Thanksgiving and I miss how special PPV's were when they were not a monthly thing.
I miss CLass of the Champions.
I miss having an alternative to the WWF, and actually being excited to see wrestlers that I was failiar with from other feds appearing in a new fed.
I miss the AWA, I miss Mid-South, I miss the NWA's JCP's, and the WWF when it was not filled with green cocky heels.
I miss being excited when a title changed hands. Hell I miss when the titles actually meant something.
I miss wrestling before it became a cheap Saturday Night Live rip-off.
I miss storytelling in the ring.
I miss seeing a variety of body types in the squared circle.
I miss the fat, ugly, grizzled and mean veteran heels that I wanted the good guys to beat.
I miss tag team wrestling that features deep talented career tag teams that have an actual team name and matching attires.
I miss passionate promos and well developed lengthy feuds.
I miss play by play announcers that were not boyband/wrestler wannabees that were serious and passionate about business.
I miss color commentators that actually had a successful wrestling career and were witty without trying to be.
I miss Pro Wrestling. Funk Entertainment!!!!

Especially different territories. Younger fans and WWE-only types have no idea how great wrestling was with all the different territories. You could see different styles, characters, and feuds all at the same time. I miss kayfabe. I miss watching NWA JCP live at the Richmond Coliseum. I miss watching wrestling on a small black and white TV with my grandpa when I was little. And a I really miss "working stiff." I've always been hard on WWE's in-ring product, and a big part of it is how soft it looks unless someone is doing a huge spot. It was great when wrestlers could just "go for it" in the ring.

Another thing I miss is when a chair shot actually mattered, and when a shot with the title could end a match. I miss heels using foreign objects. I miss squash matches on TV. I miss being being a fan during an era in which fans had an attention span prior to the whole IWC induced workrate/highspot craze.

I miss grabbing the TV Guide from the bag after our weekly grocery run, flipping to Saturday to see if there was a Saturday Night's Main Event that week.
I miss my parents allowing me to stay up extra late to watch SNME (the only time I was ever allowed up that late), and then fighting to keep my eyes open long enough to see the full show.
I miss marveling at the size of Andre the Giant from ringside at WWF shows in my town. As a kid, I thought he was some kind of superhero.
I miss the days when there were only 4 pay-per-views per year, and they built the PPV feuds for months on end before you actually got to see the match.
I miss Lord Alfred Hayes' advertising notes at the end of each episode of Superstars or Wrestling and Wrestling Challenge. ("Promotional consideration paid for by the following...")
I miss being emotionally invested in the characters, especially as a kid. I was so enraged with Paul Orndorff when he turned heel on Hulk Hogan on Superstars, it ruined my weekend.
I miss having multiple decent wrestling promotions to choose from, and the excitement of seeing a star from one group debut in a different promotion.

I miss the territories. I loved when we got cable tv and got to see wrestling from all over. It was mostly on the weekends but it was so cool. Saturdays had Georgia Championship Wrestling in the evening, later that night it was AWA on ESPN and then for a while we got to see Central States Wrestling. On Sunday mornings, it was Wrestling at the Chase. Later on, we got to see WCCW and WWF All American Wrestling. UWF was also on Sundays. I also remember getting excited when WCW would have a Clash of Champions and the WWF would have Saturday Night's Main Event. There was just so much good wrestling to see.

I miss watching RAW on a friday night on sky sports - seeing Austin, Rock and all the other stars that made the attitude era. I miss having the chance to skip over to TNT and see what the nWo were up to at the same time as RAW....
