So, I bought a few of the Mattel elites over the past 2 weeks. I got Orton and Batista between yesterday and today. My Orton has the same huge foot problems as others on this forum had. Then today I opened up my Batista. I go to put him on the stand, and his Left Ankle is extremely loose. Then I realize that his Left knee is completely pushed over, thus his foot is at a 45 degree angle with the peg on the stand. His hip joints are both extremely loose as well and he is currently doing a split against the back of my shelf lol. It just annoys me that out of the 2 Batista that were there, one was missing a chunk out of it's thigh, and the one I bought is like this. Oh, and the CM Punk Elite has both ankles loose and other problems too. Sorry for the rant, I just needed to vent somewhere. Hopefully I just got a lemon out of the bunch and everyone else doesn't have the same problems, or Mattel fixes these problems in the next line.

Yeah I'm not buying any more Elites either. For $14.99 the probability is just too high that you're going to get one with huge problems and defects.
I have 25 figures (20 Basics and 5 Elites) and I hate my Elite figures because of their joint problems. Unless the accessories are just too good to pass up (which they have sucked so far) I'll probably stick with Basic.
The Basic line is far ahead of the Elite line anyway as far as Roster size and updated attires as well.

Sorry to hear of your problems, perhaps you were just really unlucky. If you are really unsatisfied you can do the usual call up to customer service and get some perfect ones another time.

I have Elite MVP & Elite Rey Mysterio. Pretty hesitant on buying anymore since my MVP's foot is about to fall off.

read my post on how to fix loose ankle joints, it will help tremendously. also, for the warped legs and stuff, you'll need to run hot water over the warped area for 10 - 15 minutes. then hold the figure in place and let it cool. you can place an object between their legs to keep it in position and place it in a freezer to speed up the cooling process. these figures can be fixed no problem with a little bit of effort. you'll then be able to stand them up straight and pose them how you want. this same process works on weapons too btw. anyway, hope this helps!

I have to say, I opened my Orton and Triple H just now. The Orton has the same knee out of place problem, but it's on the right leg so it's not that much of an issue. But my Triple H, he is perfect. And now looking at them, the Batista is just so amazing to look at. Yeah, his legs look stupid, but just the figure overall I love. Just looking at my 4 elites is great, well the CM Punk looks out of place next to the orton, batista, and triple h. I love them too much to let the problems bother me. =/ Really wish I picked up R-Truth even after passing up on him 4 times now.

The only elite I have and will buy was Edge, and I got lucky with mine. Cashier said there had been 2 Edge figures returned due to parts being broken and she hoped mine would be okay. For the "world's largest toy maker" small defects like these should not happen as often as the are.

are they loose right out of the box? Cause I just bought MVP and don't have the same problems as you guys, but I don't want to do anything to mess it up.

i do know what you mean when you say we shouldn't have to fix something we just paid for, i agree. but sometimes, especially with mass produced figures by a company like mattel the figures are going to have loose joints, paint app errors, and sometimes even messed up or chipped plastic but we as collectors have to be on the lookout of these issues when picking out our figures and working around them when we get them. i really don't mind to "doctor" them up because it's just makes them tighter and better figures in my opinion. also, elite r-truth and matt hardy are excellent figs btw and i highly recommend picking them up!

I'm pretty unimpressed with the quality control as well. Just got WMH Edge last night and the right boot/kickpad design is all messed up. On top of that, I've had the elite Edge with locked waist, Morrison with stained boot covers, and various other paint defects. I still really like the figures, but an unacceptably high proportion of the ones I've got have problems. And at the price point, I think that's pretty bad. I never bought many Jakks RAs because I didn't like them (though I own about 60 BnBs, including multiples of most guys), but the ones I did get didn't suffer from such glaring errors. It's starting to ruin my enthusiasm for the new figures a bit.

I don't know about the Matt Hardy. I just don't like the head scan. I def. want to pick up the R-Truth though, Just need to find a way to sneak it in and find money for it lol.

I haven't had too much trouble with elites, but my Primo has half of a moustache and my Jericho is missing wrist tape on his right hand. There are an awful lot of problems reported for being so new to these figures. I would say overall they are off to a shaky start (mostly considering quality control). I still like them, but I am a bit concerned.

Yep, quality control sure leaves something to be desired. I'm slowly beginning to lose excitement over these figures because of it. The lose foot/ankle thing has me nuts. It just seems that no matter what I do, the foot is too big for ankle. There will always be a small gap around his heel. Makes Orton look like he's wearing size 29s or something crazy or maybe clown shoes. I'm perfectly fine with everything else. Not really, my Swagger's torso looks a way different color from his arms and legs. But that's okay. I can live with that no problem. Not a figure killer for me. However, the foot thing gets me angry.

I guess I lucked out as I've 13 Elites and none have any QC issues. I did get one Taker with a slightly loose ankle, but he still stands fine. I posted these pics in another thread, but as you can see I can get all my Elite figures to balance on one foot. - The only Elites not in the pic are my MVP & Extra Triple H that are setup in my Basics display. In fact the only QC issues I've had were my 2 Belt Set Orton figures were missing their wrist tape and one on my Heritage Orton figures was missing the wrist tap on his right arm. Other than that I've had no QC problems. Also for those who don't like the design of the Elite figues boots you can switch the boots for the less articulated basic boots. It's expensive, but seeing the basic boots don't need the wider gap between the bottom of the boot and the foot for the extra range of motion that'll get rid of the gap for those who don't like it.
