I have been debating weather or not to buy the new elite series 2 Batista. I already have three and we are only at series 2. Then i have two cena's and kind of like the new one with orange wristbands. I have 2 Jericho's and two Orton's multiples. Also i am trying to get enough guys to have a large sized league and i spend a lot of my money on duplicates of the same guy just a different attire. I am not complaining that they are making to many of the same guy, it just hurts my chances of getting a good sized league. What do you guys think about this
Thanks for any feedback

i refuse to duplicate any Mattels - so i'm being patient and waiting for Elites of most of them. In a case like Mark Henry or Kane, i think it's ok, if not better to get the Basics, but guys like HHH, Batista, Jericho, Kofi - i held out on all of them, and will wait until their Elites are available.

I dont want to buy multible figures of the same guys, but I would like to get a updated Batista over my WM one, but I wont get a new one.
Im gonna wait for the PPV Cena with orange wristbands, not going to get any other plus I need a Cena figure.

The elite 2 batista is a nice figure. The detail is great and it works great for a current heel batista as well.
And i personally am a completeist since i like to have full sets of every set and right now with mattel im trying to keep up and currently have everything released including boxsets besides a few varients. So my opinion isbuy what you like and can afford if you like a new attire on a figure but already have the character buy it if you can afford it and you could also trade off the old one for something else you want or sell it on ebay to recoup some of the money you used for the more recent figure.

I refuse to buy doubles of any wrestlers. Once I get a fig of one wrestler, I move on. I could care less about an updated figure later on down the line.

I bought the Elite Punk, then opted to buy the basic, simply because I found I like Basic more.
I also bought both the Sig Series Jericho and the 2-Pack Jericho, but that's because he is my favorite wrestler. So, I'll continue to buy all of his figures.
Other than that, I won't be buying doubles(nor will I be buying Elites; too expensive and I dislike the playability), unless a big change is made to the figure. So, yeah, if I were you, I'd just wait for new Superstars to be released, there's plenty of 'em coming.

At the moment I have doubles of HHH, Cena, Batista, Edge and Orton. I didn't wanna start up with buying all these repaints but oh well...
I think for future figures I'll be strict with buying one version. I also think I'll take it easy with Elite figures... as $16 and some change is a bit much for ONE figure.

I used to buy multiples but I try not to now. Unless it is a major upgrade.

Guys I really like like HHH, Orton, Taker, Regal I'll buy every version they make. And it's usually at least two figures of each figure released. But then other guys I'll either just get one and that'll be it or pass all together. And I'll do the same with the Legends when they start making them.
And sometimes I'll end up with more than 2 of the same figure. Mainly because there's days that if I don't find anything I'm looking for, but they had one of my favorite guys I'll buy it just so the day wasn't a total waste of driving around.
Here's the figures I've got multiples of so far. Basic 1 HHH - 5X (3 loose, 1 MOC & a 1/1000 MOC) Entrance Greats HHH - 2X WalMart Belt set HHH - 2X SS Match Ups HHH -2X Elite 2 HHH - 2X Heritage Orton - 4X (3 loose & 1 MOC) WalMart belt set Orton - 2X Eilte 2 Orton - 2X Heritage Austin - 3X (1 reg and 2 1/1000's 1-MOC) Entrance Greats HBK -2X Elite 1 Taker - 2X Elite 1 Punk - 2X Elite 1 Edge -2X Heritage Taker - X2 Basic 1 Cena - 2X (1 reg and a 1/1000) Basic 2 Kane - 2X (1 reg and a 1/1000) Basic 2 Kozlov - 2X Basic 2 Punk - 2X Repaints Jericho - 2X DiBiase & Rhodes 2-Pack - 2X

I ended up with 4 Triple H figures. Had gotten the basic one, then went ahead and got the entrance. THen I saw they had a DX Triple H so and I wanted that, now the Elite Triple H is out so I ended up with 4. Understandable if he was my favorite but he's not (Jericho).

I buy almost every hbk figure out there. There are some guys who I will buy multiples of if they have a major attire change. For instance Miz going from shorts to trunks. Other than that I usually just buy one of each.

i'm at the point where it kinda varies....after saying to myself (and everyone here on the board) that i would only buy ONE of each figure,i find myself with multiples of Mysterio ( EG,Basic 2,Elite 1) , Shawn Michaels (EG ,2-packs) , Undertaker (WM Heritage, Elite 1) and CM Punk ( Elite 1,Basic 2),HHH (EG,Basic 1)...and i keep looking at that DX HHH in the Match-Up's line, telling myself i don't need it...
that said, there are some i DEFINITELY will only get 1 of ...like Matt Hardy and R-Truth,when i get the Elite,i won't want or need the Basic release later on...or Batista and DiBiase,i have the basic and 2-pack versions,so i have no interest in the Elite ones...Kofi,Taker,Morrison,Cena,and Mysterio i will NOT be getting from PPV 2,but i will get The Miz,since it's in his newer attire...but i will replace my Morrison from the 2-pack later on with the Elite version...
guess it depends on the Superstar and Deco...

I'm having the same worries with CM Punk. I have Elite 1 Punk, and I can't bring myself to buy basic 2. The other thing is that I have Jakks WM25 Punk, which is the same attire as basic 2. But as many above me said, Elite 2 Batista is amazing!

I intend to be a completist with the basic, elite, and 2 packs. However I am not sold on the 20 dollar price point of entrance greats Maybe if I get caught up on the last few jakks figures I need and dc classics I might change my mind on those and get them too

The only doubles I have bought are the Undertaker, Cm Punk and rey mysterio. Taker and Punk are just because I bought flex force for the weapons and mysterio I wanted one of the masks. Other than that I won't buy any doubles

It depends on the person and if i'm a fan. Then I will buy multiples.
So far I have multiples of, Undertaker 3 (2 Heritage/1 Elite), Randy Orton 2 (2 Elite), Ted DiBiase 2 (1 Elite/1 Basic) Kofi Kingston 2 (2 Basic) and John Cena 2 (1 Heritage/1 Basic).
I've picked up 2 each of my 3 favourite mattel figs and kept one in the box.
Elite Orton, Wrestlemania Undertaker and Basic Kingston.
Might try and get another of the DiBiase and Hardy Elite's. I really like both of those figures.

As long as the attire is different enough, I don't mind buying them. Some change attires so much, it's nice to have a mix.
