From the investors conference today (via PWInsider.com) "Vince mentioned a "strong launch" with the WWE Mattel toy line, and said that WWE now has four of the top 100 selling items at Walmart" (didn't someone write on this board that his Walmart manager told him it was the worst launch ever. - whatever.) - Goldsmith said that WWE feels Mattel will make improvements on WWE products "across the board" noting their impressive reach when it comes to international markets. -Hello Australia

I just hope Walmart doesn't become like how it used to be with Jakks, full of shelf-warmers, and never a re-stock.

4 of the top selling items at Wal-Mart? Must be the DVDs as toys only make up between 2 to 5% of Wal-Mart's cash flow and DVDs and Video Games usually massively out sell toys.
Anyway I hope this means Wal-Mart is trying with the Mattel line.

I don't know.

Actually I think the boardmember said he asked his local TRU manager and she said it was a total flop. But we knew that was false seeing most TRU managers and employees don't know what their stores carry. lol

I wonder if that means he would approve them to do more things. I know that was a problem in the past, they couldn't get certain figs approved.

Awesome, mattel sure have come out with all guns blazing. They have had great success internationally as well, for once we arent getting jipped majorly down here and actually tend to find stuff first. Not to mention they are selling really well.

Great news. I have to say I've collected wrestling figures since the mid-nineties and for me Mattel has the potential to be the best line yet. I truly believe they blow Jakks out the water.
