No. But it would be great to see the audience's members faces if he turns heel. Remember Punk imitating Jeff Hardy? The heel turn Cena faces would top those.

How about the fact that people have been online talking about wrestling for as long as there has been an internet? And how about the fact that Hogan's turn was pretty much the last thing to happen before the internet blew up and wrestling went into its peak when the internet started getting big, then everyone started learning all about the "behind the scenes" stuff, so wwf and wcw started breaking kayfabe out in the open and everyone felt cool and smart for knowing what was up. By 2001 or so, that stuff was run into the ground and there were no secrets or surprises. There was no where to go from there It's such a bulls*t arguement. I started watching the WWF in the year 2000 and as soon as I watched my first episode of SmackDown I went online and filled my brain with wrestling knowledge. I read spoilers (just as all other wrestling fans did) and knew who was coming and going. And it didn't make me enjoy the product any less because the product was ing amazing. WWE destroyed their biggest hot period by buying WCW and ing up the Invasion. They've never been as creative as they once were since Stephanie took over as head writer and the company started playing by the corporate rules, and they probably never will be. But hey, let's just blame the internet.

cause there was the internet in 96 . . . and before that, but maybe 1% of people were doing anything on the internet by then. there was basically nothing except "ric flair ate my balls" websites and then the internet killed wrestling when everyone got online plenty of folks had the internet in 96, i still fail to see how the internet killed pro wrestling, like anything wrestling has just changed with the times.

If you started watching in 2000, you have nothing to compare it to. The internet created the boom period by forcing every wrestling show to have an exciting surprise every week in order to keep people watching. That spoiled people and now there is no way to create exciting surprises anymore. Pretty simple, and if you can't see that, you were born after AOL already existed

I just think the attitude era hot-shot everything and that is what killed everything exciting about wrestling. It's my opinion that the internet forced that to happen The fact that we are discussing what will happen WHEN cena turns heel proves that. Hogan's turn wasn't being anticipated and discussed like it was a forgone conclusion

I can't wait until he does. I want him to just randomly snap out of nowhere and attack a friend and insult the crowd.

It would be a very big deal and he would get tremendous heat from young fans but it would not be on the same level as hogan. As over as cena is, he is still not what hogan was at his peak.

What we all seem to be forgetting is that Vince McMahon didn't turn Hogan heel, Eric Bischoff did. And Vince didn't turn Hogan heel for the same reason he won't turn Cena heel...the money.
Back in 2001, Vince didn't have to worry too much, because he had just bought WCW, which meant even after he turned Austin (the single biggest moneymaker in wrestling history), there was still plenty of top-level talent to take him on. If Cena turned heel, who would be left to face him? Rey Mysterio?

Hell, I'd like Cena to go awesome as a heel champion, then end up dropping it to Ted Dibiase.

Some of us are already kinda expecting a Cena heel turn. So, it wouldn't nearly be as surprising and shocking as Hogan's heel turn was back in '96. So, to answer your question, not even ing close. I don't think many people would even care if Cena turned heel or not. ALOT of people cared when Hogan turned heel, that's for sure. Jibber-jabber, jibber-jabber, mumbo-jumbo, denial...

It's 2010, not much can really be THAT shocking in wrestling today...especially a heel turn. I beg to differ. The latest heel turns have been done great. No one saw Matt Hardy turning on Jeff Hardy - and the crowd reaction proved that. No one saw CM Punk cashing in MITB on Jeff Hardy - and some in the crowd proved that, as most just wanted Punk to win the title. This wasn't the 'start' of his heel turn, but rather it cemented a heel turn. Batista's heel turn was teased during his match and the fact that he told people what he was going to do helped more. His destruction of Mysterio was shocking to say the least - and no one saw it coming. A heel turn, if done properly in one night, can be shocking.

Austin's turn was a shock for about a week, then it ruined his character forever. Guess why? It revived Austin, and gave him a chance to do something different. And he made an excellent heel and did an amazing job getting Angle as over as possible. His character was ruined though because booking mistakes made after the Invasion angle and he took a backseat to the Rock.
