i ktfo kimbo with brock lesnar in 3 punches on expert. sick. The first thing I did when I loaded up the game was fight as Brock against Kimbo and have like 5 back to back fights of me KOing Kimbo within 30 seconds of the first round.

It's pretty awesome that I didn't pre-order the game and they still gave me the DLC fighters. It's a Gamestop pack in. They obviously had more "reserved for pre-order" copies than they had pre-orders, so the first few people who buy it from them get the code still. I put the code in as soon as I got home and it worked fine. 100% of the codes didn't work as of 9 AM this morning, and the codes are slowly coming online. Consider yourself lucky[/quote] I got my game at midnight and put the code in around 3 A.M., thats why.

I just want to say, stat decay can kiss my ing ass. Damn thing got over 50% of my stats down to ZERO before I could even blink. Career mode is going to take a whole hell of a lot of getting used to. Other than that I've been enjoying it immensely. Online code worked for me, TUF fighters didn't.

On the plus side of Kimbo, if you can just bum rush someone and pound the hell out of their face, Kimbo is pretty effective. I'd imagine Lesnar or Carwin could do the exact same thing though with the same effectiveness, because that is my main strategy with Carwin, but that's beside the point
Does the DLC work yet? I'm getting tired of typing in this 25 random letter code for it to do nothing

I find it really funny how Dong Hyun Kim, who fights at Welterweight, weighs at 175lbs, which is over the welterweight limit.

I seriously think my first career mode will play out exclusively in the WFA. Every time I come anywhere close to ranking up I get either KO'd or submitted, and submissions are nearly as impossible to get out of in 2010 as they were in 2009, at least when it comes to career mode. And seriously, the super-intricate clinch game needs to be scrapped. Nine times out of ten I TRY to get a punch in, not even land it, just TRY to land a couple of punches from the clinch, and before I can blink my opponent has me in a double underhook. It's ing ridiculous how easy it is for the CPU to almost instantly transition from full Muay Thai defense to double underhooks. Also, the online is really lagging to hell. Even though this game is going to take some getting used to, I have a strong feeling that I'll have a love/hate relationship for this game regardless of how long it takes me to get used to all the changes. That said, I'm still pretty optimistic about MFWF MMA, so remember to check out the MMA: UFC board if anyone is interested in joining. We just announced what prizes will be featured for our first event.

I don't have a clue what my roommates did (because I was at work) but they told me they had to pay $5.99 for online play. It wasn't for the the DLC because we got those at like 2 am. Does anyone know what that $5.99 was for?

I can see the mistake they made, at the start of the game it asks you if you want to download the online feature even though if you buy it new the code for online is right on the back of the manual.

A couple of little presentation things I've picked up on that I think are awesome little details they put in are when Bruce Buffer speaks French when you fight at the Bell Centere ("The winner, le gagnant") and in London at the O2 Arena they announce the weights in pounds AND in stone, both in Buffer's actual announcement and the Tale of the Tape.

submissions are almost impossible. Even on beginner, with maximum stamina, using a great submission fighter against someone with no ground game, they escape without issue. I was using Frank Mir against Kimbo Slice, for the specific reason of submitting him, and he was just climbing right out of all my submissions like a world class wrestler. It is ing intellectually- disabled. The "twirl the stick around aimlessly" method doesn't work, at all. It's broken.

Hell, I just wish they would have left in last years submission system to be honest.
This stat decay thing is driving me nuts. My fighter is ranked to where I'm taking on Top 10 Welterweights, but his stats are to a level where he barely belongs back in the WFA. I'm seriously considering scrapping him anyway and starting fresh, because he is NOT turning out the way I would like.

Yeah I struggle with submissions too. I did 6 fights last night and went 4-2. I used Frank Mir 3 fights winning all by TKO or KO(against Coleman, Carwin, and Arlovski). The other 3 fights were me using Clay Guida against BJ Penn, he submitted me in the first 2 fights then I knocked him out in the 3rd.. Best fight out of those was Mir vs Carwin, he caught me with a big punch that knocked me down, then he mounted me so I was scrambling to get out and he ended up on my back. Scrambled some more and finally got back up then KO'd him with a left hook.. Awesome stuff...
