They want to disassociate themselves from the term wrestling (because of the white trash connotation associated with it for advertisers and such) by coining the phrase sports entertainment. Yet tuning into RAW and see the Jerry Springer Show happening in the middle of the ring. How ironic.

Didn't seem very TV-PG TBH, but, oh well...

I don't mean the PG thing. What I mean is that they're associating themselves with something more trailer park trash than wrestling is.

didn't they coin the term due to the fact Vince views it more than just wrestling? not cause they don't want poor folks watching it . . .

That too, but I'm sure they created the term for advertisers ("You're not buying ad time on some stupid wrasslin' show, it's sport entertainment), and to avoid heavy commission fees and license costs involved with sporting events. didn't they coin the term due to the fact Vince views it more than just wrestling? not cause they don't want poor folks watching it . . .

Didn't seem very TV-PG TBH, but, oh well... It certainly was a tad bit more than PG. WWE is PG unless they choose not to be or HHH chooses not to be.

didn't they coin the term due to the fact Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn views it more than just wrestling? not cause they don't want poor folks watching it . . . Fixed.

Probably the most boring moment in WWE. They just continue using the same people all at the same time, it's always Chris Masters or Carlito or Santino.

WWE isn't wrestling, it's "Sports Entertainment"

Pretty embarassing night to be a wrestling fan Hold the phones, TNA was on? I totally missed it. HAHAHHAHAHAHAH OHHHH HAHAHA LOLZ HAHAHA HAHAHAH Oh you and your witty TNA bashes. Anyways, Vince coined the phrase Sports Entertainment more so that he wouldn't have to pay commision fees then to get away from wrestling, since he kept the name World Wrestling Federation, and later World Wrestling Entertainment

I was laughing a lot during the segment not because the segment itself was funny, but the fact that it was so corny and horribly acted.

I would prefer that if WWE was going to break their own SELF enacted PG rating that they would break it by doing it in an ACTUAL WRESTLING MATCH like perhaps a TLC match, or use some chairs or maybe some blood to set the stage for a really serious feud.
Horrible sketches with sexual jokes do nothing for me.
