not really. they are all pretty common, and seem to be in banged up condition. That Yokozuna has some crazy discoloration. and what in the hell happened to that Stone Cold?

He is a Toybiz ref that came with Kevin Nash in the Smash N Slam series.

I think there just was a certain condition to create this discoloration. I said so before on my yellow boots Dusty; they're only half yellow, leading me to believe that they were white when that Dusty came fresh from the factory. I believe they yellowed by smoke, sunfade or a weird chemical reaction of the paint on the plastic.

I have a Dusty with light yellow splotches on his boots, and I completely agree. Why would Hasbro release a Yokozuna (or any other figure) with a limb or head that was a completely different shade? It isn't smoke or sun damage, it's a process called oxidation. Here is a great article about SNES game systems changing color which explains it pretty well. www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/189The short answer as to why some do it and some don't is that the mixture of chemicals (such as flame retardant agents) added to the plastic may not be just right, leading some figures to absorb UV light more quickly than others, which speeds up the degradation process of the plastic. Check these out: My SNES also turned yellow on the top side only, and I can say with 100% certainty that it did not come that way.

Thanks, i was unsure thats all. I have all moc hasbros and none have any colour change.
I see other people have started collecting hasbros with different shades of plastic on them and call them 'varients' (eg 3 shades of rick rudes tights)
Good article on snes vwguitar, i have seen it before and thought it explains alot.

I think the Rick Rudes look awesome, and actually do a good job of mimicking the colorful tights he wore. I'm not so keen on the ones with pale heads/arms or ones that are yellowing, like IRS' shirt. But hey, if anyone wants a "navy blue" Honky Tonk Man, feel free to shoot me a PM.

I actually threw away more than half of my Hasbros around 2005 or so, because of how discolored and just ugly they had gotten.

I do believe the varient colouring is a joke. I mean if LOD had red spikes and there was a blue spiked LOD, then i'd class that as a varient, not just slightly lighter red.
Im suprised someone hasnt put ina £10k bid for "varient" mr perfect
