By now we all know Mattel is real breaking new ground with their legends. All of their legends so far have attires we have never seen & already in their first series they will be debuting Ricky Steamboat.
What if Mattel sixth figure is Macho Man Randy Savage? Would it top Ricky, also does the WWE have to give them the ok.

Not to me it wouldn't. Hell there's plenty of wrestlers I'd want before Macho Man and he'd have to be from around WMIII for me to want it. And yes the WWE would need to OK it.

Huge Steamboat fan but Savage is the most wanted classic figure ever!!!!!
I would want 80s Macho, Macho King, mid 90s Savage, and WCW Savage's.

Yes, easilly.
Macho, with his colourful attires, would sell like hot cakes.

As great as Stemboat is and was.....Savage is a bigger name and definitely high on the list of "probably never will see". Steamboat was only a matter of time and never could figure out why Jakks did not get that done.

By far!, compare what macho man accomplished in the wwe with what steamboat did and it's not even close. Savage main evented multiple wrestlemanias. Having steamboat is nice but he's more a nwa legend than wwe.

I'd rather have Steamboat.

I never really got to see Steamboat wrestle, so a WCW Machoman would actually appeal to me more.

definitely...it remains one of the "Holy Grails" of classic/legends wrestling figures...sadly,though,it will likely never happen as long as Vince is still around...still love to know which story is true...

i've always been a huge fan of Macho Man, i think Steamboat is fantastic and its been a long time that we've gone without having a figure of him, but Savage is 1 of my favorites of all time so i voted for Savage

The WWE released a Macho DVD. In the wrestling world everything is possible. Vince approved the DVD so how in blue hell can they not release the figure.
Also when you look at the fact Mattel cannot create Hogan, Flair or Foley the WWE needs to pull in their bag of treats and pull out the Holy Grail of WWE Figure in the new era, Macho MAn Randy Savage

HOWEVER...and i may be wrong here...but it's possible that since WWE owns the footage used on the DVD,that perhaps Savage wasn't entitled to much,if any, money from it's sales, since he is no longer a contracted employee...if he signs a figure deal, he gets paid up front for his likeness,so he does get paid for the figure....so,if true, that would explain why Vince would allow a DVD,but no figures.... i mean, there's something there....Jakks has publicly stated more than once over the years that whenever Savage was brought up as a licencee for Classic Superstars,Vince would always say no....

Steamboat is one of the coolest figures I have seen in some time. However, as colorful and flashy as Macho Man's outfits are, he would dominate in sales. It would be an amazing figure of one of the most popular known wrestlers of all time, who has never really gotten the chance to have a great figure made of him.
Until now Hasbro has done him the best. Could you imagine a Macho man figure with all the work and detail mattel has been putting in to this line.
By far, it would top any figure

Legends Savage - pink tights, yellow boots, removable ski goggles, bandana and robe/cape... Legends Macho King - purple and white attire with removable Crown, glasses, gold jacket, and scepter... EG WrestleMania VII - blue and white attire, with removable hat, glasses, jacket, and shirt.. EG WrestleMania VIII - black and gold outfit, with removable hat, jacket, and Winged Eagle belt ....make those 4,and i could retire from figure collecting happy...sadly,i seriously believe i would be holding my breath for years to come...
