A couple of fighters just went down in the land "Down Under.'
Ben Rothwell and Elvis Sinosic have been removed from the UFC 110 fight card. "Big" is suffering from an undisclosed illness while the "King of Rock n Rumble" injured his shoulder and is unable to compete.
The UFC confirmed the unfortunate news earlier today, adding that the Sinosic vs. Haseman contest has been canceled while Australian veteran Anthony Perosh will step up on short notice to face Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic.

It's a shame we won't get to see Rothwell/Cro Cop, but it does mean we will most likely see a Cro Cop win  |

Wow, that's pretty crappy. I'm not a Sinosic fan by any means, but I'm sure this was a huge deal for the guy.
As for CroCop, I can't really say this is great news. If a dominating win is what he needs to get his edge back, fine. But a loss just stamps the fact that he's done.

Damn I was looking forward to seeing Haseman in the octagon, was a big fan of his back in RINGS.
As for Crocop, hoping this gets him that big hilite reel KO win he so desperately needs.
Hasn't Perosh fought on a UFC undercard before? I remember him being quite tough & hope to hell he don't pull off the upset or crocop is done!!!

Well, this ing sucks. Man, you got that right. This probably means that Cro-Cop will get a much easier fight, but you never know in the world of MMA. If Cro-Cop loses to this back-up guy, then he's done for sure. I was looking forward to his fight with Big Ben though. Oh well, these things happen. |

I don't doubt it, but I also think both men were in the right to not take the fight. Couture fought two weeks ago, and I can't even imagine the rust Rampage has right now.

I don't buy that at all, and it sounds like the biggest bull sh*t I have EVER heard in the world on MMA. Yea, that's what Dana will do. Ruin his more than overly planned out Evans vs. Jackson fight for the sake of Mirko Cro Cop. And Randy Couture? He literally just fought. They wouldn't do that to their stop stars. Simple as that. I'd like to know who your "sources" are. |

Not going to shoot the messenger here, but I lol'ed at that report. Like mentioned...I couldnt see Dana making a huge fiasco about replacing Rothwell with Page/Couture, seeing as how the Cro Cop fight was really a nothing fight, as far as marketing goes.

Couture talked about it on a radio interview in Australia. No conformation from Jackson yet though.
