Here's to hoping Evan Bourne is the new Shawn Michaels! what happened to the John Morrison being HBK thing? Well I HATE it when people are claimed to be the "Next ____" but if there is any guy out there who will put on classic Mania matches in the future like Shawn, I think it is Morrison. I can't see them pushing Bourne so much.

I honestly wasn't disappointed. I enjoyed it, honestly. Vince/Bret was a downer with the whole family ganging up. This Mania was a B-

Wasnt as good as I though it would be by no means. I will go in detail later but my main gripe is that Jericho, Triple H, Cena, and Taker all won their matches last year and wala the won again, too ing repetitive for me. The matches were good, but the results disappointed me. On the Wrestlemania scale I would give it a 7 out of 10. It was average to me, but thats just my opinion.

I'm really glad that unlike the last time he left as a drug addicted, jerk, broken man in constant pain now he leaves proving he's still the best, is a good god loving man, and has a great family waiting for him at home. I'm very happy for HBK.

Disappointing show for the most part. Pretty much all of it was predictable with the exception of Edge vs. Jericho.
Taker vs. HBK was a fantastic match, but it definitely didn't top their match last year. All of the counters, pinfalls, etc. were more predictable since we saw all of it last year. I mean, that's the risk you run when you do the same match and try to live up to its standards.
Batista and Cena had the best match that either of them have had in years. Cena winning was expected and almost 100% definite after Edge lost, but still. Very solid match all around, this match exceeded my expectations.
Divas Battle Royal was whatever. It was obvious Vickie Guerrero would win. Nice to see her still tarnishing the legend of Eddie Guerrero 5 years after his death. There's no doubt why the Guerrero family supposedly disowned her.
Edge vs. Jericho was a great match and had the most unpredictable outcome of the entire night. Edge still looked slow and stiff in the ring and clearly had some rust to work off. Jericho did a good job carrying him through it. Two guys who always work well together no matter how many times they go at it. Great spot after the match, too.
Mysterio-Punk was fantastic and should have gotten more time. Mysterio's best match in years. These guys worked well together, hopefully the next time they wrestle they'll be given more time. Punk's promo was just awesome and he's way better as a heel than face even though I was against him turning for a while. Great match, unique counters and ending, too.
Bret vs. Vince was good. It was what I expected, so I don't see it as a waste of a match or anything like some people. The purpose of the match was for Bret to get his revenge and it was obvious a 50-year-old man with a history of head trauma and a stroke wasn't going to be able to take any bumps. Frankly, it was amazing he was able to do what he did. This match served its purpose and was great for the nostalgia and history behind it more than anything else.
Triple H vs. Sheamus was a bore. Never had much interest in this match to begin with. Slow paced, pretty much what you could expect with the two of them wrestling each other.
MITB was lame. There wasn't any one spot that made me say "WOW!" compared to the previous matches. Don't really care about Swagger winning. He seems green to me, I doubt he'll ever be much of a draw. Anyway, they need to go back to having 6 guys in the match because it's getting impossible to keep track and follow what's going on with everybody. Guys like Hardy and Shelton are clearly in this match just for the spots and don't really serve any other purpose since they clearly will never win.
Tag Titles match, I admit I didn't pay any attention to except the ending. It was alright. Started the PPV and got the crowd into it, I guess.
Stage was great, I love the Wrestlemanias with the long ramps.... Lack of pyro was weird, even Undertaker's entrance was lame. Cena's entrance was just awful, completely stupid and I didn't know what the hell was going on. It went on way too long.... 3-man commentary sucked. Striker was terrible and trying too hard to sell the storylines. He had so many corny lines that made me cringe, i.e. comparing Undertaker's winning streak to Joe DiMaggio's hitting streak. Lol.... The one backstage segment they had was absolutely terrible, and embarrassingly bad. They need to do more interviews backstage to hype the matches.... Fantasia was TERRIBLE singing the National Anthem.
Overall, I'd give it a 6.5/10

Overall, I was very suprised. I expected this event to be much better.
Tag opener was fine, I expected more "flashy" moves to get the crowd going, and the finish came out of nowhere. Nothing wrong with the match though.
Triple threat was actually pretty good. It got slow at times when they were pounding away at Orton but the last couple of minutes saved it.
MITB was full of botches and "okay" spots. No big spot really stood out. Dont get me wrong, there was some good stuff in there but nothing really insane. Shelton doing nothing also makes me sad. And Swagger winning was completely random.
HHH and Sheamus had a really good match. Flowed well, no botches and some good false finishes. I know alot of people hate on Sheamus but I don't think he's bad at all.
Yea i'll say it. Rey/Punk was the best match of the night. If they had a few more minutes this match could have been insane. Alot of people crap on Rey and say he's gotten slow and sloppy, but this match was perfect and really well done. It's a shame that it was kind of short because they deserved alot more time.
Bret and Vince was awful. There was no point in having the Hart family out there. Maybe it was just to limit Bret's involvement in the match, but nobody wanted to see that and the crowd was absolutely dead. Horrible, awful match.
Edge and Jericho was a really good match. They had some nice spots and counters, and i'm glad Jericho retained the title.
Divas match was pretty terrible. The series of finishers at the end was hilarious because almost everything got messed up. Even the finish got messed up, really? How do you mess up a pin?
Cena and Batista, jeez. A couple of noticable botches and just an all around sloppy match. I expected a really good match because Cena usually turns it up for big matches, but I was wrong. They had the false finishes in there to keep the crowd into it, but overall I thought this match was lacking big time.
Main event of HBK and Taker. I don't know WTF happened towards the beginning of the match but they weren't on the same page at all. But once they got it together this match was excellent. Lots of false finishes and the crowd seemed to be crazy the whole time. The ending was awesome, and that tombstone looked devastating.
Overall I was really excited for this event but in the end I felt it was just okay. Some good moments and good action, I just can't believe the amount of botches on the biggest show of the year. Like I said, Rey/Punk was my favorite match and could've been talked about for a long time if they had gotten a few more minutes to work with.

Was very happy with the fact michaels/taker was the main event. Match was great but i feel did not live up to last years masterpiece.
Cena/Batista was a bit of a bore to me since i don't care for either.
Edge/Jericho was my favorite match of the night.
punk/mysterio was another fantastic match i just wish it had more time
triple threat was everything i thought it be. Kinda boring but did what it was suppose too
HHH/Sheamus i honestly don't even remember.
Money in the Bank was the biggest disappointment. Could have done so much better, and christian gets screwed again.
tag match was extremely short and kinda boring because of how short it was.

Looking at MITB pics and a ton of people have cool entrance gears. Swagger with his little jacket reminding me of Angle.. Matt in a cool pant with keys details. Kane in a new attire finally.. Bourne looked cool as well. McIntyre was different since he always wore black. I like Christians since silver is my favorite color! Kofi was okay but wtf was his hair doing? MVP and Shelton were blah.. Pretty boring for WM attires. I couldn't even see Ziggler.. HHH and Sheamus were plain as well.

Well, there it is, another Wrestlemania in the books. To be honest, I'm quite torn as to how I feel about it.
First, let me comment on the fact that it was incredibly interesting watching this with a former fan and a friend who has never had any interest in wrestling. He decided to watch it with an open mind and ask questions to become more informed as the night progressed. That being said, he was, by far, most entertained by Edge/Jericho. I asked him afterward, and he said they were the only match that made him feel like he was watching something special.
As for my other friend who had a genuine interest tonight, he started to lose interest after Edge/Jericho, and hardly paid attention the rest of the night. It was really interesting seeing how a "casual" fan and someone totally on the outside reacted to the show tonight. I've never watched it like that before.
Now, onto my feelings...
I had my heart so set on Punk and Mysterio opening that I was disappointed to learn it would be the tag title match. The match itself was decent at best, and plagued by a short match time and a crowd that wanted something bigger to start the night. Glad to see ShoMiz retain the titles, and I think this program may continue in the weeks to come, but overall, quite disappointing.
Shocked to see the triple threat go on next, though I immediately noticed the irony in the situation. Orton has one of the worst Wrestlemania main events of all time and then nearly opens the show, and Triple H didn't do much better. VERY slow match to start off, seemed like it was going nowhere. When Legacy finally split, things got far more interesting. I enjoyed it a lot more from there, and I thought the finish was set up nicely. Orton was MEGA over, which helped the match out quite a bit as far as I'm concerned. Served the feud well.
I was horribly disappointed with Money in the Bank. A couple cool spots here and there and a few innovative situations, but for the most part, I didn't think it spoke for the concept very well at all. I was really pulling for Christian here, but I was fine with anyone but McIntyre or Kane. Swagger winning was a HUGE shock, but I pleasantly surprised. Makes me wonder why he didn't just get Sheamus' push in the first place, though. I had figured they had given up hope on him.
(By the way, the uneducated friend found Swagger incredibly entertaining, and wanted him to cash in later on, badly.)
I was glad to see Sheamus and Triple H early on the card. Things started off slow, but I will admit, Sheamus had an impressive showing later on in the match. Definitely his best effort since coming into the limelight. This, by all respects, should have been the start of Sheamus' push, not a failed WWE title reign. When push came to shove, though, I was glad they went with a Triple H victory. Sheamus has been given enough already, he's not quite deserving of a win against Triple H at Wrestlemania.
Excellent match between Punk and Mysterio. Very disappointed with the length, but the card was so packed that it was bound to happen. Poor booking as far as I'm concerned, this feud was really heating up and Mysterio in the SES would have been incredibly entertaining, and lead up to some big blow off match between the two. Instead the feud is now dead in the water and left Punk looking pretty weak. Great match, though.
Hart/McMahon was the let-down of the night. It was hard to watch. I was never expecting a good wrestling match, but I also wasn't expecting to see the whole Hart family taking shots at McMahon. The whole "twist" was incredibly stupid and cheesy, and it made the whole situation feel really impersonal, especially for a rivalry that was so bitter and so focused on two men. WWE really dropped the ball here. I didn't feel vindicated when Vince finally tapped out, I was bored out of my mind.
Absolutely loved Jericho/Edge. I'll even go out on a limb and say this was the best match of the night. They told their story, they sold it well, and they made the match feel important. I felt like there was so much on the line, it felt like a legitimate Wrestlemania main event. I thought giving Jericho the win was brilliant, and it sets up the rivalry for so much more. Edge can take the belt next month, or hell, even after if they play it right. This couldn't have possibly been handled better. I can't wait to see Jericho gloating on Smackdown.
Divas match was a waste. Even the uneducated friend could see through the nice bodies and point out the fact that it was just simple filler. I expected McCool and company to win, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see someone beat down Vickie Guerrero post-match.
Cena/Batista was what I expected it to be. Nothing great, nothing terrible. I thought it was right on par with their Summerslam match. Batista's face after Cena kicked out of the Batista Bomb was absolutely priceless, it made the entire match for me. Finish was cool, glad to see Batista tap. Don't really care for seeing Cena as champion again, but there's no use fighting it. Plus, the farther the belt is from Batista, the better.
Post match celebration for Cena was great, I loved how he went to the crowd of kids with the "WE HATE CENA" shirts. If this is some sort of new edge to his character, I'm all for it.
So we come to the main event, and going in, I was nervous. Not only because I more or less was sure this was the end of HBK's career, but because i wondered if they could top their match from last year.
Unfortunately, I don't think they did. While watching the match, at times I couldn't help but thinking I was just watching a repeat of Wrestlemania 25. The last few minutes were even more similar. It just seemed like they followed the same formula to a tee, producing a match equal in quality, but lacking in luster and originality. I really wasn't big on the finish at all. Michaels pulling to his feet and then just standing there, waiting to be tombstoned. It was almost as if he had accepted defeat, and the build to the match had centered around him never willing to give up. It just didn't seem right to me.
The handshake and HBK exit was incredibly emotional, and I'm glad they gave him a couple of minutes out there. It felt like it truly was the end, and at the same time, I couldn't help but feeling disappointed that the last site at Wrestlemania I was going to see was the end of the career of one of the all-time greats. The end of Wrestlemania was anything but happy.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the show, but I have a hard time committing to sentiment that it lived up to the hype. Perhaps I have to sit on it for a day or so to really let it all sink in. But Wrestlemania X-Seven can take comfort in knowing that it wasn't knocked from it's throne tonight, at least as far as I'm concerned.
On a side note, the crowd seemed lackadaisical and unimpressed throughout the majority of the show. They only popped for huge events and rarely, if ever, did it sound like there were 72,000+ in there. It's sad, a crowd can really enhance an event.

Divas Battle Royal was whatever. It was obvious Vickie Guerrero would win. Nice to see her still tarnishing the legend of Eddie Guerrero 5 years after his death. There's no doubt why the Guerrero family supposedly disowned her. How is she tarnishing Eddie's legacy exactly? Because she's involved with wrestling? Everything she's done in WWE since being employed by them has never left me feeling like she's tarnishing his career. Also the Guerrero's didn't disown Vickie, it was reported that Vickie ceased talking to them and they wish she would talk to them.

How anyone can say that was an awesome Wrestlemania is beyond me, it was horrible, most dissapointing wrestling event I've ever watched, the only match worth viewing again was Taker/HBK of course, which wasn't as good as last year's, but still amazing, I really hope Shawn isn't gone for good. I'll tell you what, when TNA can fill an arena with 72,000 fans, then bitch that Wrestlemania wasnt awesome. It ranked up there with the best of them.
