I saw a star in Kofi Kingston tonight. The dreads were sick. The only thing he needs is to get rid of the cartoony pictures on his tights and a heel turn then he is ready to go.
I thought this was an awesome Wrestlemania. As a whole a very well show. The Divas match was just a bathroom break match. Chris Jericho winning was one of the best highlights of the night, along with that sick ass moonsault onto the annouce table! I read a lot of complaints so I don't know what show yall were watching?

This show sucked. I'm glad I switched to UFC because WWE is getting REALLY ing pathetic. And that pains me to say that because I WAS a wrestling fan for so long and to see what it has become just pisses me off....I ing hate it now...It's ing awful. I went out to the theatre and watched it and it was ridiculous what they were charging just to get into the friggin' joint. What a total rip. And to see what a piss-poor show this was, makes me want the gas I used up to get there back. WWE is going downhill and fast.

DEFINITELY better than last year's disappointing mess of a show. Not sure where it'll ultimately rank amongst my favorite WMs, though. It definitely wasn't better than 17 but time will tell if it'll dethrone either 24 or 19 from their respective second and third spots. My one main complaint for the evening was that many matches seemed far too short.
Tag Match: I was looking forward to this one but it was way too short. Seemed like it ended before it even got started.
Triple Threat/Trips vs. Sheamus: Both were better than I had expected. While Triple H/Sheamus wasn't a classic by any means, I thought both competitors came out of it looking like a couple of gladiators.
MITB: I missed a couple minutes of this one. From what I saw, I liked that they really played up the implausibility of someone actually being able to climb up and get the briefcase when there were nine other men in the match. Not one of the most memorable MITBs from what I saw. I have no problem with the outcome, although it was embarrassing to watch him struggle to unhook the briefcase.
Bret/Vince: Actually worse than I ever expected. Way too long. Only thing I liked was the inclusion of the Hart Dynasty. I really disliked the double swerve at the beginning of the match. Especially since you could see where it was going from the minute Vince brought out the Hart family, plus Bret just isn't good enough on the mic to sell his swerve, IMO. He dragged out his "reveal" far too long. And did Vince even get a single punch in during the whole segment?
Punk/Rey: A great outing, despite the fact that it was too short and I felt the wrong man won. Also was not a fan of Rey's attire this year. I look forward to more matches between these two.
Edge/Jericho: The first half didn't click for me like I hoped it would but things picked up in the second half. I was surprised they gave Jericho the win here. Like Punk/Rey I look forward to the rematch.
Divas Tag: Pretty much what I expected, which wasn't much. Not crazy about Vickie getting the win at all. But I also don't care for Vickie much at all.
Cena/Batista: No complaints here. I might have been more impressed with their SS'08 match, though, since I had expected that to be a blundering mess. Since I knew they pulled out an entertaining match once, I figured they could do it again. Plus, I really perked up once I knew that 'Taker/HBK would get the main event spot.
'Taker/HBK: Was it better than their match last year? I don't know. I haven't watched that one in quite some time. (Honestly, I did that on purpose. As much as I've wanted to watch that match recently, I didn't want to be sitting there during this one and be thinking "Hmmm...saw this spot last year. And this sequence.") Do I care if it was better? Not really. This was a damn fine match and a hell of a main event. Hats off to both men.

Ohhhhh damn it. I missed JR so uber hard during this broadcast. I only really missed him during the Vince/Hart match, and a bit during Taker/Shawn. I mean c'mon, King, Cole, and Striker just sat they're chatting away when Vince was getting killed. JR would've jumped on it with "BAH GAWDS" and "GOVERNMENT MULES" and "GOOD OL FASHIONED BEATDOWN." There are times when those terms are absolutely necessary. That was one of them. And we needed some JR markouts for the Shawn/Taker match, just to help it feel more epic.

So uh, I have a few questions. Did JR do any commentary? Did any parachuters ever drop in? Did Vince tap to the Sharpshooter? Why does the screen that says "RKO" look so close to the ring in the Orton pic floating around? If anyone could answer that would be great, as I wasn't able to order. </3 1. Yes. Oh wait, JR is the bald Spanish guy, right? 2. Yes. They were all dressed as the Undertaker. Marty Jannetty was one of them. 3. Nope. Spinning Toe Hold did him in. 4. Wizards did it. Hope this helped.

^ Basically everything was bad. The women's match was ing embarassing, Cena winning again REALLY sucked ass, botches all over the place. Just a VERY lackluster and boring show. Taker & HBK was the best match by far. Everything else was pure sh*t.

Well ah, to start off, from the minute the show started I wasn't getting that 'Mania feeling. Here's what I think:
The Tag Title match was decent, but definitely way too short and it just made Morrison and R-Truth look bad.
I thought the Triple Threat was decent. Nothing out of this world spectacular, but what you'd expect from this lackluster rivarly. I marked for Rhodes' old theme. haha
MITB was a pretty cool match for what it was. I expected more sick spots but for what we got, it worked. Matt Hardy shined and so did Bourne. I don't think Christian got enough time in the match and felt he was just thrown to the side. Swagger taking it in the end was a freakin' shocker. I just really wanted Christian to get that Wrestlemania moment.
Triple H and Sheamus wasn't bad, but it dragged at certain times. The ending was pretty decent. Sheamus losing certainly didn't help him look strong... lol.
Punk vs. Rey was probably the second best match of the night. It wasn't given enough time which wasn't good, but these two guys put on a good match for the time they were given. No complaints.
Bret Hart vs. McMahon was.. umm... odd. The swerve with Vince paying off the Hart family was shocking, but then Bret reversing it and letting Vince know they knew of the trick all along was funny. The match itself was a disaster. It was embarassing to watch. Bret looked terrible and gave some of the weakest moves I've ever seen. Oh well.
Edge vs. Jericho didn't seem to click. It got more interesting as it went on, and the ending wasn't expected by me. I guess it's good this feud will continue to the next PPV.
Divas match was whatever.
Batista vs. Cena was just there. Didn't seem like these two guys worked very well this time around. Some decent moves here and there but overall nothing spectacular. Cena winning was no shocker.
HBK vs. Undertaker was a great match. That's really all I can say about it. These two guys just went out there and put on a classic bout and even put together a great announce table spot. I admit I was a bit ticked off seeing HBK lose, but that's fine. The ending was amazing to see.
Overall, I thought this 'Mania would be amazing. It wasn't that great, but it wasn't bad. Glad I was able to watch it and chill with some friends.

Taker & HBK was the best match by far. Everything else was pure sh*t. I'll bite on the botches, but I didn't find ANYTHING wrong with Punk/Mysterio. That was an incredibly well-planned match. Smark wrestling! They knew all of each other's holds and it was all counters! Awesome. The Divas match was booked to be a joke. Would it have been better if Beth slammed Vickie? Probably. But it worked for what it was, which was nothing. I'm just gonna bite on this one, STFY aside, you should've absolutely known Cena was going to win. It was booked that way. There was nothing in the world to suggest Batista would pull it out. At all. You should've been complaining for weeks now since that PPV (is it called No Way Out anymore?!). It was the easiest call of the night, minus the unsurprising but still cool-as-hell-just-because-it-happened Hart/Vince match.

The problem was the first part of the match was dominated by the Legacy doing basic double team moves. And the crowd just sat there. It felt like they were dragging everything out, but it was probably because there was no atmosphere at all. But yeah, when Orton got his offense in, which was the last few minutes, the crowd was popping like crazy. That's true.

I thought it was a great show. Honestly...I know people are entitled to their opinions and all but if you think the show "sucked" then honestly....give up on wrestling. You're never going to be satisfied.
The opener was short but since I didn't care for the match, I was quite glad it ended quickly. I don't understand how people say Punk v. Mysterio could've started the show...how could they have started the show with a prematch hype video?
Triple Threat was entertaining. Orton is mega over.
MITB...not too much we haven't already seen before but still very entertaining. Jack Swagger winning was AMAZING, although his struggle to unhook the briefcase was cringeworthy. Kofi's performance was great...Matt Hardy was surprisingly relevant...Bourne looked good. VERY surprised that Shelton Benjamin was practically non-existent.
Triple H/Sheamus was a good match. Sheamus proved he could be a main event mainstay, and the ending sequences were well done. Triple H duping Sheamus and capitalizing on his greenness was a very clever and fitting ending.
Punk/Mysterio was excellent, albeit a bit short. I liked Mysterio's mind games at the beginning. The prematch video was amazing. Wish Punk could have won but the match was still terrific.
Bret vs. McMahon was honestly the only disappointment of the night. I know that neither of these men could do much and that they needed to do something to cover Bret's workload, but the Hart family involvement was just downright silly. I like the idea of Vince paying off the Harts (well...the Hart Dynasty & Bruce, not the tuxedo-clad non-wrestling ones). But Bret's revealation was just stupid. It killed the drama of the rivalry. They should have waited until like half-way through the match for the Hart Dynasty to side with Bret. Maybe Vince could have bossed them around a little too much, pushing them past their limit and so they decide to turn on Vince. That would have gotten much more of a reaction. Or at least if they wanted to have the Harts turn before the match, they should have had Vince pay the Harts off on Raw. Make it seem like they were gonna clobber Bret all week and then turn against Vince as soon as the match started. It was too much "shock value" for such a short time frame. The match was also slow and plodding. Which was to be expected, but they really could have and should have trimmed some time off this one and given it to Rey/Punk. It really dragged on and on at the end, all of those chairshots were kind of unneccessary. If it was just the two of them with Bret exacting his revenge for twelve years of abuse I would have liked the chair shots. But as I said, the Hart family swerves killed the emotion of the match. The Hart Attack on Vince was awesome and it put the Dynasty over. Also liked the Sharpshooter. But aside from that, a little underwhelming. Didn't like all the false starts on the Sharpshooter as well. It was only on about the seventh attempt did he actually slap the hold on.
Edge/Jericho was outstanding. I disagree with the sentiment that Edge looked rusty. The first 5 minutes were lackluster but it was amazing from thereforth. I HATED how the crowd completely shat on Edge...I legitimately felt bad for Edge and the lack of a reaction he got. It took a while for the match as a whole to get any reaction. I liked Jericho's methodical destruction of Edge. Although I love both wrestlers, Edge is my #1 and it was a little depressing to see him lose. But still an excellent offering. Postmatch spear was sick but again...crowd booing Edge sucked.
WWE Title match was very good. Again, first few minutes sucked but it picked up and the ending sequences were outstanding. I legitimately thought Batista had it won after executing his Summerslam 08-esque counter. Felt like a significant moment for Cena.
So so so hyped for Shawn/Taker and it delivered. If I could sum it up in a sentence I would say: Not as good of a MATCH as last year's, but the emotional involvement made it that much better. That's not to say it wasn't an outstanding match. Lots of exciting maneuvers and counters, although I was sad that Taker didn't do his trademark dive, or even Old School (I think? Lost track in all the epicness) The first few minutes were almost an exact replica of last year's. Match was certainly different...not as many "big" spots but like I said, the emotion made this one just as good, if not better. The ending was amazing. You felt the sympathy Taker had for Shawn. The slap was priceless and the devastating Tombstone was sick. Nice handshake, and an amazing farewell for HBK. Nearly teared up during the ending 10 minutes of him basking in the fans' affection. THAT was what Wrestlemania is all about.
Although it wasn't as shocking and didn't have as many "OMG!" moments, this year's match told a MUCH, MUCH better story. Last year they had their elaborate showboaty entrances and they threw everything they had at eachother and kicked out of 263463 moves. Yes that made for an epic match but ultimately it didn't have much emotion to it. It was just a fun, epic match. This year's in-ring action was almost as epic, but the emotion was far superior.
I'd honestly say it was my second favorite 'Mania of all time, behind 24. I find 17 to be quite overrated...like I said if you couldn't enjoy the show at all, find a new hobby..

Something I totally forgot to mention in my original post, but, was anyone else thrown off/slightly upset about the lack of post-Mania wrap up package? I know the focus was HBK, and I know all the themes sucked this year, but, it just didn't feel right without it.
