I've been putting this off, but I feel obligated to put my two cents in as to how I'd like things to happen.
Granted, these aren't exactly my predictions, simply what I'd like to see happen if I were booking the show. My predictions are a bit different.
CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio
In a classic opener, reminiscent of Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania 21, Rey Mysterio pulls out all the stops to beat CM Punk. Both Serena and Luke Gallows try to get involved, but Mysterio takes Gallows out, and the referee sends Serena to the back. In the process of the doing so, the referee's back is turned long enough for Punk to rake the eyes of Mysterio and connect with the GTS for the win.
Winner: CM Punk
Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Typical MITB action, with Benjamin, Kingston, and Bourne handling the majority of the high flying spots. McIntyre steers clear of the ladders in the early going and plays the bully role. MVP, Hardy, Kane, and Swagger act as filler. McIntyre sees an opportunity with a clear ring and tries to grab the briefcase but is met with opposition from Christian. Christian knocks McIntyre off the ladder and the rest of the participants attack him, clearly not impressed with the way he'd chosen to handle himself in the match. After more warfare among the participants, Christian is finally able to bring down the briefcase and claim Money in the Bank.
Winner: Christian
Triple H vs. Sheamus
Sheamus attacks Triple H as he's posing on the apron and proceeds to beat him down for a couple of minutes. Triple H is able to find his bearings and take control, quickly unleashing a calculated barrage of attacks on Sheamus. It's not long before Triple H connects with the Pedigree and puts Sheamus' hopes of a big Wrestlemania moment to rest.
Winner: Triple H
WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010 Inductees are honored.
Unified Tag Team Championship Match - The Miz & The Big Show (c) vs. John Morrison & R-Truth
Plenty of action between The Miz and Morrison, with Show and Miz keeping Morrison away from Truth for a good portion of the match-up. Morrison finally gets a hot tag and Truth plows through The Miz, only to be met with a thunderous chokeslam from The Big Show. The Miz cleverly knocks Morrison off the ropes and gets the pinfall on R-Truth to retain the Unified Tag Team Championships.
Winners: The Miz & The Big Show
World Heavyweight Championship Match - Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge
Edge hits the spear on Jericho seconds after the match begins, but Jericho immediately rolls out of the ring. Jericho parades around ringside, claiming he's smarter than Edge. Edge finally lures Jericho back in the ring and the match continues. Back and forth action, near falls by both competitors. Jericho locks Edge in the Walls of Jericho but Edge will not tap. He eventually gets to the ropes, and Jericho is furious. He grabs the World Title and tries to hit Edge with it, Edge ducks and charges at Jericho for the spear. Jericho moves out of the way and Edge collides with the steel turnbuckle, exposed earlier by Jericho. Jericho hits the codebreaker on a wounded Edge and retains the World Championship.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Randy Orton vs. Ted Dibiase vs. Cody Rhodes
Rhodes & Dibiase start off on the same page, but eventually hell breaks loose as Orton slowly finds ways to cause rifts within the pair. Dibiase eventually becomes fed up with Rhodes and takes him out with the Dream Street. Orton is lying in wait and strikes Dibiase with an RKO to get the victory.
Winner: Randy Orton
Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon
Typical McMahon match - a total beat down followed by a couple failed attempts at a comeback. After a brutal beating from Bret Hart, Vince McMahon quickly taps out to the Sharpshooter. Not satisfied with his victory, Bret locks on the Sharpshooter again after the match and laughs as Vince cries in pain.
Winner: Bret Hart
10 Diva Tag Team Match
Quick and painless, Michelle McCool gets a victory over one of the face divas. The heel divas celebrate and hoist Vickie Guerrero onto their shoulders. The face divas retaliate and the heel divas retreat, leaving only Vickie Guerrero in the ring. Vickie pleads with the heel divas to come back, but none are interested. Beth Phoenix delivers a glamslam to Vickie Guerrero and leaves her lying motionless in the ring.
Winners: Heel Divas
WWE Championship Match - Batista (c) vs. John Cena
This should start heavy and end heavy. No need for it to be excessively long. Batista beats down Cena in the early going, continuing the trend of their feud thus far. Cena able to get a few attacks in here and there, but Batista is dominating. Batista eventually hits the Batista Bomb, but gets arrogant and taunts the crowd before covering. Batista only gets a two count, but doesn't seem to mind. He lifts Cena again for a Batista Bomb, but Cena slides down the back and connects with an Attitude Adjustment. Cena hesitates for a moment, and then decides to lock on the STF. Batista has nowhere to go, and eventually taps out.
Winner: John Cena
Streak vs. Career - The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
There's nothing they haven't already done, so at the risk of sounding unoriginal, I'll simply leave at the fact that Shawn Michaels finds some creative way to connect with a surprise Sweet Chin Music and somehow manages to topple The Undertaker and end his undefeated streak.
Winner: Shawn Michaels
I know this won't be the way things will work out, but hey, just my take on how I'd like it to go down. Getting pretty excited for Mania now!
