Do the basics have an official release schedule? Basic 3 has been found in stores already in February. At this rate we will be on Basic 15 by Christmas. The entire roster could be out by then. Is Mattel just starting fast and will slow down? I thought they were supposed to come out every other month? Thoughts?

No, we are supposed to get basics once a month, and PPV every other month... though even that seems a little screwy at this point. We did kind of end up getting basics once a month, except that it was more like Basic 1 Dec, Basic 2 Jan, and Basic 3 Feb.

Mattel said basics vwill be.released once a month and Elites everty other month

ok thanks. Then they will have about 12 series out by Christmas. I am expecting lots of repaints unfortunately. RSC has them coming out every other month with 3 in April and 4 in June.

I know I will get flack for this and probably smited alot, but i consider RSC the Wrestling Observer when it comes to Figure News and dates. Not always on Point if you know what i am saying
Mattel themselves said Basics were EVER month, Elites and PPV's EVERY OTHER MONTH and Two packs every month
so Im almost certain that we will have Basic 11 or 12 by christmas

So I guess we will see basic 4 in stores by Wrestlemania.
Does anyone know about the legends line? I will guess they are every other month???

I know of a few retailers around here that will put things out even if they have "Do Not Sell Until.." stickers on the boxes. I've talked with some of the managers about this, and they say that they don't want clutter in their warehouses, so if something like WWE figures are in the back but they're already in the system, ready to be sold, they'll put 'em out.
So, I'm guessing the early findings of Basic Series 3 were obtained through stores with the same mentality. These stores are probably supposed to wait until March, but if they're already there, why hold off?

There's no hold on the figures now. WalMart has them out now because Mattel fills their orders first followed by the other big mass retail stores. It's probaby been over a month ago since the first reports of finding of Series 2 at WalMart. So they are right on
track
