I didnt care much for Maria but this is a huge shock tbh, thourght the story with her and MH was going somewhere.

I find it very odd that they would release the "Diva of The Year"... although, I dont care much. What does she add to the show?

I never cared for Maria much at only. But the only reason that this shocks me is because bottom half of the Diva's roster contains a slew of girls that should've gotten the ax before her.

oh well. I was surprised to see her get released since she could actually wrestle. I would assume it has something to do with her being in playboy and them wanting to be PG now and/or her developing career. I think they felt she was going to only be using WWE to promote herself and would then leave. Once Eve Torres showed up and Maria was moved to SD!, I knew Maria's days were somewhat numbered. I dunno if she was dating Cody, but I know she has been romantically linked to a good amount of wrestlers, which always put me under the impression that she was a total ring rat. I have a feeling this is going to get like the 2005/2008/2009 releases where they start releasing people we totally didn't expect.
I really think that Matt Hardy is not very far away from a trip to to the unemployment line and then TNA

Terrible release. Should have gotten rid of McCool or Melina I like Maria too, but why would you get rid of one of the few Divas who are not only over, but have (in the case of McCool) decent skills, and considering Melina's success, she's also obviously doing something right. Plus, you'd get rid of one of those two before Rosa? Really? |

That is kinda surprising. Now someone HAS to go to SD to be a face since they only have Mickie at the moment and she could also be on the way out.
Still I was never a big fan of hers. She would have been better on Raw to maybe win the Diva's title but I guess she never got the chance.
Maybe TNA will scoop her up or she could just stay singing and maybe acting.
