I posted in the jakks suggestion bored for hasbro tributes but it got me thinking. When I was a kid there were a few I wondered why we never got in hasbro or galoob lines. What's your top wish list?
hasbro: -jim neidhart hart foundation -strike force -lod without shoulder pads -virgil body guard -dino bravo
galoob: (forgetting about the uk exclusives) - midnight express - ricky steamboat - nikita koloff - rick rude - vader

My biggest Hasbro wants were a Hartfoundation Anvil, Diesel, some managers (Fuji, Heenan, Slick etc) and a referee.
Didn't watch WCW much back then, but would have like a Doom set in actual wrestling gear.

I wrote to Hasbro and WWF right after series 1 came out with my wish list. I got a bunch of legal stuff about patents and what not. I was 10 at the time and just wanted the figures. I have that letter some where I should fine it.

I also wrote to them and they sent me a similar letter which I also still have.
I felt really cool getting a letter from hasbro.

I always wanted the Barbarian and Haku and find it still strange that they never made them. I also really wanted a tito santana pre el matadore.

A glaring omission in the Hasbro line is definitely The Barbarian.
He was in the height of the gimmicky WWF (circa '92) and his buddy The Warlord got one but not him. He was also left off the band-wagon for the LJN line too...while his team mate Warlord got one. weird.
For the Galoobs, oh how I wish they would have continued it. I know STOM has that Ricky Morton that he'll never part with, but how badly I wanted them to continue the Galoob line! I grew up with NWA/WCW so I'm more attached to guys like:
Midnight Express Rock n Roll Express Dusty Rhodes Tully Blanchard The Great Muta The Fantastics and the list goes on
I can see why we never got Rick Rude or Vader - because they were more established in 1992 when the lined died (I think). Vader did make appearances before then, but it was minimal.
And whoever said Charapro works well with Galoobs obviously never put them next to a galoob. Muta is taller than Sid Vicious and Jushin Liger towers over most of the Galoobs. It's a pity because Charapros look so great

I'm glad I'm not the only one that wanted Beverly Brothers figures. I've always been a tag team guy, so I always wanted the Powers Of Pain, the Brainbusters, and the Hart Foundation. I think a Hasbro Arn would've been nice.
As far as Galoobs go, I would've loved to have a Rick Rude, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, Stan Hansen, or Terry Gordy. That would've been awesome.

I was a big fan of the Galoob line more than Hasbro, because of how they looked like scale statues and collectibles.
I wanted a Hart Foundation version of the Neidhart figure, like everyone had said, in the Hasbro line. Rather than see more Superstars, I wrote to them to make more original sculpts. Never got a response though.
In terms of Galoob, I really wanted to see Diamond Dallas Page, Steve Austin, Cactus Jack and Larry Zbyszko. Before the Internet, I always Galoob to make a Dustin Rhodes figure. I didn't know until a few years later, that it was only a U.K. exclusive. Something that eats me up to this day.

yeah, we've actually been screwed a few times out of a good haku, ljn only produced that one and it's so hard to find now for a decent price. (too expensive for me) Haku was one of those great players in the game like Jeremy was talking about in relation to classic superstars in how they can't sign only A game talent and have to sign B and C level talent too. Which I love because I waited years to get a brother love (albeit an extremely tall one). But I would have loved to see more midcard wrestlers added to that list. Haku is a huge one for me now that you guys mention it, Barbarian also a good idea and wow, we get high energy and not the beverly bros? Also I wish we would have got a wrestling gear honky tonk (thank god after all these years in cs14 we finally get one) but a hasbro would have been nice.
Hasbro tag teams are sorely missing a lot, orient express would have been awesome.
Galoobs really didn't get a fair shot since they only made 12 US ones so there's a ton they could have done. Cactus is an awesome idea! Him, vader, rick rude, anyone fueding with sting. Heck I'd even love to get a hugh morris, norman, kevin sullivan and medusa too.
Now here's a question... any we're glad we didn't get? I'm glad we never got into the MVP (steve lombardi), Stalker (barry whindam), Bastian Booger, mantaur, and so on.
PN news is borderline for me in the galoob line, much like doom which I never got.

Hasbros I always wanted, but were never made:
Haku Dino Bravo Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart (Hart Foundation attire) Tito Santana (Pre-El Matador) Barbarian Hercules
There were a few more, but these are the main figures I really wanted to see produced.

We could talk on this topic for years. Heres my take
1. Steel Cage - Galoob put one out, copy theres and make it attach to the ring posts no holes in the apron
2. Rings - The original Blue was Wrestlemania, scrap the Kiing of the Ring and make the other 3 of the big four pay per views, Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Survivor Series
3. Referee - Make A ref and put him in each ring box.
4. Repaint and take off ring gear on some figures. Repaints are easy re releases for a new series ex. Jim Neidhart - Hart foundation gear ex. Piper and Honkey Tonk Man - Ring Gear
5. New Figures a. Power and Glory - This was on of my favorites, and i have seen great customs of them b. Barbarian - Please give this guy a figure, hell you still owe us some powers and pain LJN c. Diesel - wore the strap main eventer

i woulda loved Galoob to have continued. I saw Ricky morton, PN news, and Diamond studd protos...there was one more other than the Hayes and flair in robes. But I woulda lived a Nikita koloff with russion sickle pose.

I have seen proto pics of Morton, PN News, Ric Flair, both Freebirds in robes, Blackblood and a Rick Steiner varient. They are on the BBWF site which is excellent for this stuff: members.tripod.com/~spams/galoobmuseum
