Now I'm just wondering if George Jones ever checked out the awful segment and the kind of reaction he might have had.

Always fun to listen to Barry's shoot interviews. He just seems like a very nice guy. Very interesting that the Repo Man was his idea. Also, a shocker midway through the video about Doink the Clown.

Loved the Repo gimmick but to me it doesnt scream babyface. Also glad he turned down Doink and was given to Borne in the end. To me nobody else couldve portrayed that character like Matt did And yeah both him and Bill are super nice guys from all accounts. Hope to get a chance to meet em one day and just tell em they're my fav team of all time. Holding out hope now with Trips in charge of the HOF that he rights a BIG wrong and gets em both in there I wanna hear their classic theme by Derringer on WWE TV one more time

Holding out hope now with Trips in charge of the HOF that he rights a BIG wrong and gets em both in there I wanna hear their classic theme by Derringer on WWE TV one more time Yeah, it was a good gimmick, but he never really got into a feud with anyone of note. He did have a short run with Savage in mid 1992, and then again before he left in 1993. It looked like they were starting a feud with Davey Boy around Summer Slam, but I don't think anything came of it. So, I don't think he was able to really get anything going with the character to really get it over. Yeah, hard to see how that character could have been babyface. Telling kids, it's okay to steel is not really the best thing to do. The only way he could have become a babyface would have been him doing the same schtick, but only to heels. For instance, if he was still around in late 1993/early 1994, I could see him "repossessing" Shawn's IC title, saying he wasn't the real champ. Oddly, to become babyface, he would have to do the same kind of stuff that turned Doink, babyface. Speaking of Doink, yeah, hard to imagine anyone else as heel Doink other than Borne. Maybe Darsow could have come back and played the babyface Doink in 1994 or 1995, that would have allowed Darsow the chance to end his career as a babyface, and he could have done some of the make-a-wish stuff as babyface Doink. Also, very surprising that this was his own idea. The Repo Man just screams Vince McMahon. And, I also hope with HHH in charge, that he can mend fences with Darsow and Eadie. They both belong in the WWE HOF. Triple H was responsible for getting both Warrior and Bruno back in the fold, I think he could do the same with Demolition.

The feud with Bulldog really just abruptly ended. One minute he's attacking em with the hook and hogtying em to it being dropped not long into it The brief Mach feud in 93 was random as hell. all over repossessing his hat. Mach was World Champ just a few months prior and here he is feuding over his hat getting stolen I remember them being in that WWE 12 game and I thought for sure it would lead to a HOF nod. Sadly I was wrong
