WrestleMania 26 will be the first WrestleMania where an active and uninjured Triple H will not be wrestling for a heavyweight championship of any sort since WrestleMania 17. This was the longest active streak ever for a wrestler to contend for a heavyweight championship at consecutive WrestleManias in the history of the WWE. At WrestleMania 17, he fought Undertaker in a non title match. Since then, every match Triple H has had at a WrestleMania has been for a heavyweight championship.

WrestleMania 18 vs Chris Jericho for the Undisputed Title,
WrestleMania 19 vs Booker T for the World Heavyweight Championship
WrestleMania 20 vs Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship
WrestleMania 21 vs Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship
WrestleMania 22 vs John Cena for the WWE Championship
WrestleMania 24 vs Randy Orton and John Cena for the WWE Championship
WrestleMania 25 vs Randy Orton for the WWE Championship

- Triple H was injured and did not wrestle at WrestleMania 23.

The new active streak for consecutive WrestleMania appearances wrestling for a heavyweight championship is John Cena, with WrestleMania 26 marking his sixth consecutive WrestleMania match wrestling for a heavyweight championship of some sort.

WrestleMania 22 vs Triple H for the WWE Championship
WrestleMania 23 vs Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship

The all time consecutive WrestleMania appearances wrestling for a heavyweight championship of some sort is still Triple H with seven, followed by John Cena with six, and Hulk Hogan who wrestled in six consecutive WrestleMania matches for the WWE Championship if you include the tournament as WrestleMania 4. He wrestled for the WWE Championship from WrestleMania 2 to WrestleMania 7, marking six consecutive WrestleManias

If you hate Cena for being over and being put into these matches, then you're a tool. Triple H on the other hand, having an actual say in what goes on backstage, is more understandable.

Sorry, I could really go for an injury break with Cena. Same thing that happened with Triple H at Wrestlemania 23, which led to a slight change of pace (even if he had a program going).

I've got to admit I enjoyed Mania 23 a lot better because Triple H wasn't there. I ordered the event because I wanted to see Shawn main event one more time and that is the only time I've ordered an event solely because I wanted to see a Cena match. I don't despise him, I just have no interest in the guy and I have never purchased a PPV because I wanted to see his match except WM23.

Just to add to it. HHH has done the job in some pretty big Wrestlemania matches. INCLUDING putting Benoit, Batista & Cena over big time.

To be honest, out of all those....Booker/HHH wasn't very good, HHH/Orton sucked as well. All the other matches HHH had were great/memorable matches
Cena/JBL wasn't a great match but was saved by the fact that Cena finally won the title and was what kicked off the Cena era. His other title matches were awesome (especially vs. HBK)
