As far as the back on the head goes, both are almost identical...but Jakks had the more detail (color) on the back compared to the Mattel Rey which only had an all white design (You can see in the picture above Rey didn't have an all white design on the back of his mask). I have to disagree with your comments, Mattel nailed it more so than Jakks. Sure they didn't add "color" but they didn't add it anywhere else either, since the "color" is Louis Vuitton logos, it goes along with CM Punk's shoulder tats. Also Jakks' back of the mask isn't even close, it's all white with gold outline, there's only one little circle of black, Mattel's on the other hand (aside from the Mayan skull looking like a smily face), looks a lot closer as can be seen adding black in the accurate spots with gold outlines. You can tell Mattel put way more detail into mask than Jakks did with theirs.

These are usually pretty cool, but there is no way in hell that the Jakks Triple H should even be mentioned in the same breath as the Mattel. Jakks didn't get the body right on the Triple H...that's Brock Lesnar's torso. That Jakks figure is rather poor.

the jakks figures just make me giggle, how someone can think those look better than their mattel counter parts is beyond me.

Besides the beard, Mattel made Triple H perfect. Same with Rey. He looks great.
Again you have done an outstanding job. Keep em coming!

i agree with all your point but one. On Rey's headpiece. I think that Jakks is better because it has the brighter colors, as opposed to Mattels. Neither got it perfect though

If anything, I thought you were a little too generous with Jakks, but very detailed and insightful reviews, bro.

I think it's ridiculous to give the Mysterio bodies a draw. Mattel's Rey body is in scale, the Jakks one is a joke.
But the Triple H beard on the Mattel figure does annoy me. They gave Mysterio a different headsculpt just for the Entrance Great figure (full head mask rather than straps on back) so they should've done the same for HHH.

I haven't had a single problem with HHH's cape. It's never slipped off during display. I've never had to screw around with it to make it stay on or anything.

does anyone have pics of the jakks figures MOC and forgive me for not following jakks too closely but what series of figures were these for and when were they released They were exclusives made in late 2006 or early 2007 I don't recall the exact date, The Rey Mysterio was a ToysRUs.com Exclusive and I believe the King of Kings Triple H was just a Internet Exclusive. The Triple H can still be found on Amazon for cheap, but good luck tracking down that Rey...it took me years to find it. thx alot for the help . now time to go searching for em .

Good comparison, while the Jakks HHH headscan isn't anything special, it was accurate for what HHH looked like at the time with the handlebar moustache which Mattel should have taken into consideration. In terms of accessories though, Mattel definitely went all out and had the better product. These are usually pretty cool, but there is no way in hell that the Jakks Triple H should even be mentioned in the same breath as the Mattel. Jakks didn't get the body right on the Triple H...that's Brock Lesnar's torso. That Jakks figure is rather poor. Really? Check the reference pics again, Triple H clearly isn't as ripped as the Mattel torso portrays him to be, even the definition in the legs of the Mattel figure isn't what he looked like that night either. If anything, Jakks nailed the body.

Thanks for the cool review and adding real pictures make these so much better. I do however think you gave jakks too much credit in a few key areas. I see these figures as a complete landslide in favour of mattel.

Wow, that was intellectually- disabled. Mattel's Entrance Greats are miles ahead of Jakks' crap.
